Mathematical contextualization is interpreted as identifying the existence of mathematics developed by different cultural groups. The existence of ethnomathematics in education offers a learning approach that connects mathematics with the local cultural wisdom of the community. The main focus of this research is to identify ethnomathematics in woven handicrafts in Plaosan Village, Kediri Regency. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data were collected using observation, documentation, interview, and literature study techniques. The results showed that there were ethnomathematics in woven handicrafts in Plaosan Village. The mathematical elements that can be found in the woven motifs are the concept of the plane, the concept of lines and the relationships between lines, the concept of angles, and the concept of transformational geometry. The fundamental mathematics activities that can be found in the weaving activities are counting, measuring, designing, locating, playing, and explaining.
Learning mathematics in schools aim to make students able to make mathematics as a solution or approach in simplifying or solving daily problems. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to have a culture-based mathematics learning which expected to be able to help students understand and master mathematics better. The purpose of this study is to identify the mathematical elements contained in the ornament and architecture of the Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque in Surabaya. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data collected by using a literature study, observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis is classified into several stages, namely domain and taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme analysis. The results showed that there are mathematical elements in the ornament and architecture of the Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque in Surabaya included the concepts of plane geometry, solid geometry, and transformational geometry. Mathematical elements in this mosque may be used as material for the development of culture-based mathematics learning at the primary and secondary school levels.
Laptop merupakan salah satu kebutuhan primer yang digunakan manusia untuk menunjang pekerjaannya. Permasalahan muncul ketika seseorang akan membeli laptop yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi finansialnya, sedangkan produsen harus sigap dalam mengambil peluang pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan ilustrasi tentang seberapa besar antusias konsumen akan membeli suatu laptop dengan meninjau ukuran RAM, kapasitas Harddisk, dan harga jual. Adapun spesifikasi laptop yang digunakan adalah laptop dengan ukuran RAM 2 GB, kapasitas Harddisk 320 GB, dan harga jual Rp 6.500.000. Dari hasil perhitungan disimpulkan bahwa kemungkinan konsumen untuk membeli laptop A adalah sebesar 48,45%. Jika menilik pada derajat keanggotaan nilai z, peluang konsumen tidak membeli adalah sebesar 0,0309785, sedangkan peluang konsumen untuk mempertimbangkan pembelian adalah sebesar 0,9690215.
Abstrak. Kemacetan lalu lintas merupakan hal yang sering terjadi di Kota Malang khususnya di pusat-pusat keramaian dan kawasan edukasi seperti di Jalan Bandung dan Jalan Veteran. Kemacetan dapat menghambat aktivitas masyarakat serta menimbulkan dampak di bidang sosial dan ekonomi. Salah satu alternatif untuk menghindari terjadinya kemacetan adalah dengan mengalihkan arus lalu lintas dari jalan yang padat kendaraan menuju jalan yang tidak padat kendaraan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu algoritma yang efektif sehingga jumlah kendaraan yang ada di suatu jalan sesuai dengan kapasitas jalan tersebut. Penulisan artikel ini memiliki titik fokus analisis dan penjelasan mengenai cara penerapan algoritma topological sort untuk mendistribusikan kembali kendaraan yang bergerak dari titik asal menuju titik tujuan sehingga setiap ruas jalan dapat menampung kendaraan sesuai dengan jumlah kapasitasnya. Setelah dianalisis secara teoritis, algoritma topological sort dapat diterapkan untuk mengurai kemacetan yang terjadi di jalan-jalan tersebut.
