Objetivo: Analisar na literatura científica sobre a relação de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática e infecção por Covid-19. Métodos: Por meio da plataforma de base de dados Pubmed, foi realizada uma Revisão Integrativa, com o intento de localizar fontes relevantes para tal. A pesquisa foi realizada sob o uso dos descritores “Covid", "idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura", "Immune thrombocytopenic purpura", "thrombocytopenic", em associação com os operadores booleanos “OR” e “AND”, para fazer a busca dos artigos, resultando em 171 artigos iniciais. Dentro desses números, devido aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, apenas 16 tornaram-se fontes oficiais. Resultados: Os estudos apontam que há uma estreita ligação entre a infecção viral e, por conseguinte, a produção de autoanticorpos e citocinas que convergem em um mecanismo de autoimunidade viral observado nos casos de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática. Considerações finais: A Covid-19 pode ser considerada um agente infeccioso indutor de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática, o que sugere a urgência no tratamento dessa associação para aplacar as suas possíveis complicações.
Introdução: A imunodeficiência variável comum (IVC) é definida pela diminuição dos níveis de IgG e níveis reduzidos de, pelo menos, mais uma imunoglobulina, principalmente IgM ou IgA, associada a infecções recorrentes e resposta deficiente a protocolos de imunização. Objetivo: Traçar o perfil clínico laboratorial e epidemiológico dos pacientes diagnosticados com imunodeficiência variável comum, acompanhados no Hospital Universitário Walter Cantídio (HUWC). Métodos: Análise dos prontuários de pacientes sabidamente acometidos pela imunodeficiência variável comum em acompanhamento no HUWC. Resultados: Foram analisados 08 prontuários, sendo seis pacientes (75%) correspondiam a indivíduos do sexo masculino e dois (25%) ao sexo feminino. A idade ao diagnóstico variou de 6 meses a 44 anos, sendo a maioria dos pacientes diagnosticados dos 7 a 16 anos. Das tomografias realizadas, 80% apresentavam bronquiectasias. A principal limitação do trabalho foi decorrente da interrupção em virtude da pandemia do COVID-19. Discussão: O estudo vigente apresentou maior prevalência do sexo masculino, em contraste com dados da literatura que demonstraram igual prevalência. No tocante aos dados laboratoriais, o achado mais marcante foi o nível de IgA < 80 mg/dl que estava presente em 100% dos estudados. Conclusão: O estudo revelou dados clínicos, epidemiológicos e laboratoriais, permitindo a análise do perfil dos pacientes com IVC no Ceará. É importante ressaltar que, por conta da pandemia de Covid 19, a coleta de dados teve limitações. Por se tratar de uma doença rara, a quantidade de pacientes é válida para essa investigação.
