Negative aggression behavior arises among students so an approach is needed to reduce it. Peace Counseling Approach (PCA) is an approach that develops the potential of every human being without causing violence. Peace actually resides in the human mind. Therefore, training is conducted so that the counselee has a peaceful mindset. Aggression behavior in adolescents is still a complex problem behavior. Negative aggression behavior, is the behavior of someone who intentionally hurt others both physically and psychologically using certain media. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of PCA in reducing the aggressive behavior of students. The study design uses true experimental randomized pre and post test control group design. The subjects of this study were vocational high-school students in Yogyakarta who had very high aggression behavior. Determination of research subjects using random assignment techniques. The data-collection tool used to measure aggressive behavior is the scale of aggressive behavior. The data analysis technique used in this study was the independent t-test. The results of this study indicate that aggression behavior can decrease significantly after being given a PCA intervention. Students are able to develop peaceful thoughts that can minimize the desire of students to behave in aggression.
Science learning should be accessible for all learners including students with visually impaired (VI). Students with VI apparently have the same cognitive abilities range and can master higher-order science concept as well. The purpose of this study is to explain that students with VI can learn science well if there is the right learning support tool by in-depth literature review. This in-depth literature review uses the following steps: selection of the articles, analysis the studies and categorization of the articles. A total of seventeen journal articles from the year of 2009-2018 written in English on the topic of science learning for students with VI that divided based on how do the students with VI learn and teaching and learning science to students with VI. This literature was collected via the ERIC database and the Google Scholar website. Based on this literature reviews, students with VI can learn science well if there is a proper support tool for them to learn. If the teachers are able to apply the right learning model and are supported with good facilities such as orientation and movement, tactile and kinesthetic learning, auditory learning and accommodations, and assistive technology, it is possible that students with VI will be able to learn about science very well.
AbstractThe pre-service teachers’ attitudes is one indicator to show whether the inclusive education system is successfully implemented. However, no research studies have been conducted to reveal pre-service teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education in Indonesia. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to know the attitudes towards inclusive education of pre-service teachers in Indonesia. The current study investigated 177 Indonesian pre-service teachers who have studied the inclusive education course in Yogyakarta city using the teachers’ attitudes towards inclusion scale. The findings of the current study were 1) the pre-service teachers had moderate attitudes and beliefs towards inclusive education, 2) there were no differences in attitudes toward inclusive education between males and females, and between those who have never interacted with students with special education needs and those who have such experiences.
Climate change is the change of temperature and weather pattern in long terms caused by the accumulation of greenhouse emission in the atmosphere. Those emissions act like a blanket covering earth, trapping heat and causing the increase of earth’s temperature. The emissions of greenhouse gases causing climate change are CO2, O3, N2O, CH3, et cetera. The existence of these gases have to be observed periodically for monitoring and controlling purposes. These days, remote sensing is capable of doing that. Sentinel-5P imagery exists as an imagery that can observe gas concentration within the earth’s atmosphere. This research is aimed to observe CO and O3 gas, which cause climate change, using Sentinel-5P satellite imagery using Google Earth Engine (GEE) periodically. GEE is a platform allowing its users to access and process data freely. The result of this research shows that there is a change in CO and O3 concentration throughout January to November 2021. The highest concentration for CO was in October, and the lowest was in July. Meanwhile, the highest concentration for O3 was in October, and the lowest was in June. Based on the research done, Sentinel-5P satellite imagery succeeded in monitoring CO and O3 concentration periodically every month.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
