O objetivo deste ensaio é passar em revista a crítica que vem sendo elaborada por Lazzarato à concepção “positiva” de poder de Foucault, cuja síntese está no conceito de biopolítica. Isto, tomando como marco balizador o modelo neoliberal de governamentalidade, caro a ambos os autores. O pensamento de Lazzarato acolhe apenas parcialmente a noção foucaultiana – segundo ele demasiadamente ampla e pouco atenta às factualidades históricas (atinentes à financeirização, às relações coloniais centro-periferia, às “guerras totais”, às crises e revoluções ininterruptas) - de “arte liberal de governar”. As ideias de “ação sobre a ação” - de um “governo sobre os comportamentos” cujas técnicas consistiriam em incluir, incitar e produzir - seriam úteis à compreensão apenas de uma das duas faces da governamentalidade neoliberal. Ocultando a outra - a da máquina de guerra que estaria constantemente explorando (pelo trabalho), ocultando e matando - o conceito foucaultiano de biopolítica teria prestado uma espécie de desserviço ao que o Lazzarato chama de teorias críticas contemporâneas: teria induzido estas a um diagnóstico inverossímil e estéril sobre o funcionamento do poder nas sociedades ocidentais liberais e neoliberais contemporâneas. Pois tal conceito teria abdicado categorias imprescindíveis como classes sociais, fascismo, guerra, revolução, financeirização e capital.
Sexo, gênero e sexualidades: introdução à teoria feminista (2008), de Elsa Dorlin, não é, à primeira vista, um livro militante, nem uma introdução: a linguagem é técnica e a filósofa francesa passa ao largo da repartição consagrada do feminismo em três ondas. Trata-se de uma genealogia dos saberes feministas, de uma história das elaborações teóricas próprias às práticas militantes da Revolução Francesa ao século XXI.O gesto de Elsa Dorlin é potente ética e filosoficamente. Cruzando as fronteiras políticoepistemológicas que separavam o feminismo francês do black feminism estadunidense, ela retoma os seguintes problemas: o surgimento do "lugar de fala", o uso do gênero como categoria de análise, as capturas, os dispositivos e as performances do patriarcado branco capitalista e as estratégias de lutas dos feminismos negros, marginalizados e queer. A autora não só contribui para a memória dessas práticas teóricas, como as interpreta a partir de um projeto ético-filosófico que é o seu: descolonizar o feminismo hegemônico, respondendo à questão: "como resistir às múltiplas formas de dominação que perpassam a história dos feminismos?".* "Podemos definir o saber feminista como uma genealogia, no sentido atribuído por Michel Foucault". Com essa frase, Dorlin encerra o capítulo de abertura de Sexo, gênero, sexualidades.
