Descripción de la innovación: Muchas instituciones caracterizan a sus alumnos al momento de la admisión para identificar situaciones de riesgo. Esta iniciativa resulta insuficiente porque las condiciones de los estudiantes cambian y estos pueden ser causa de fracaso académico. Dada la importancia de detectar tempranamente situaciones de riesgo que propician la deserción, se creó, dentro de ASES, el sistema de alertas tempranas. Discusión: El trabajo desarrollado durante seis años ha permitido construir una metodología de seguimiento a los riesgos en cinco dimensiones: individual, familiar, académica, económica y de vida universitaria. Conclusión: A esta herramienta se le ha denominado «semáforo de alertas», resulta eficaz, eficiente y de fácil acceso para aquellos que realizan el acompañamiento estudiantil.
Proponer un instrumento de evaluación de competencias bioéticas vinculado al conocimiento y habilidades de ciencias biomédicas para estudiantes del área básica de medicina. Métodos: Se trata de una investigación cualitativa y descriptiva en la que se realizó un cribado de artículos bajo criterios de selección eliminación y exclusión sobre evaluación bioética en ciencias de la salud. Posteriormente se seleccionaron las competencias que con mayor frecuencia reportaban los autores para ser evaluadas desde los primeros semestres en la formación de médicos. Finalmente se construyó una rúbrica que permite la evaluación de competencias bioéticas y los conocimientos de las asignaturas del área básica de la formación médica. Resultados: Las competencias éticas seleccionadas tras el minucioso análisis de 32 artículos, del perfil de egreso y de los valores universitarios fueron: el respeto, la toma de decisiones, el bien común, derecho de los otros, amor a la verdad y responsabilidad. Se diseñó una rúbrica de evaluación diagnóstica, formativa y sumativa y se propone la solución de problemas y casos clínicos como técnica de enseñanza aprendizaje. Conclusión: Analizar los instrumentos y herramientas de evaluación que se emplean en la formación médica, es un área que debe investigarse constantemente.
Objetivo: Diseñar escenarios de simulación híbrida que propicien el aprendizaje de conceptos y competencias interprofesionales en alumnos de pregrado, los cuales fueron realizados por un grupo de trabajo interinstitucional de enfoque colaborativo en la EIP. Observaciones: Se evaluó la satisfacción con la experiencia de aprendizaje de simulación en 184 estudiantes del curso mediante un cuestionario elaborado ad hoc. Se identificó que el 97.3% manifestó la importancia de colaborar con otras profesiones para proveer mejor atención centrada en el paciente, 60% consideró que los materiales, recursos, actividades y medios fueron accesibles y útiles para la construcción de aprendizajes. Conclusiones e importancia del caso:
Introducción: La educación médica debe contemplar la preparación para una pandemia, enfatizando la formación ética de futuros profesionales para el manejo de situaciones críticas. Objetivo: Comprender el impacto de una intervención educativa que implementó contenidos de ética aplicada al contexto de la pandemia de enfermedad por coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) en estudiantes clínicos. Métodos: Se aplicó un cuestionario abierto postintervención, el cual se analizó cualitativamente para dos cohortes de estudiantes que experimentaron la intervención en julio de 2020 (n = 13) y julio de 2021 (n = 16). Resultados: En el material analizado (n = 29) los estudiantes reconocen múltiples aprendizajes derivados de la sesión en donde predomina una comprensión de la dimensión ética como algo complejo. Las cuatro temáticas más significativas son: a) razonamiento ético para el análisis; b) proyección sobre rol futuro; c) emociones, y d) juicios y denuncias. Es evidente que la naturaleza de las inquietudes éticas es distinta según el tiempo y coincide con el contexto de la pandemia. Conclusiones: Es clave incorporar escenarios contextualmente significativos para capitalizar la sensibilidad que experimentan y desarrollar las competencias éticas para su futuro rol que incluyan una perspectiva de la salud pública que abone a la responsabilidad social de la profesión en su proceso de formación de identidad profesional.
