The research paper aims to analyze the impact of green banking practices on bank’s environmental performance in Nepal. The casual relational research design has been adopted in the study. The simple and stepwise multiple regression analysis have been performed to accomplish the objective of the research. The research paper follows cross-sectional qualitative research with descriptive outcome. The Chronbach’s Alpha has been used to analyze the reliability of instruments and data. The 189 samples have been collected from the banks using convenience sampling method. The SPSS software has been used to tabulate and analyze the data. The research paper concluded the energy efficient equipment and green policy posed the significant impact on bank’s environmental performance; green loan and green project as not. Similarly, the environmental training contributed mild to bank’s environmental performance. The findings of the paper suggested the role of banks and government in encouraging environmentally sustainable technologies as highly important for increasing bank’s reputation and awareness among customers.
The research paper aims to examine the attitudinal factors influencing herding behavior in order to manage the fluctuations, bubbles, and bursts in the Nepal capital market. The descriptive and analytical research design has been adopted in the study. The qualitative data has been collected through the structured, self-administered questionnaire distributed to five hundred investors of the securities market in Nepal. The usable questionnaires have been confined to 407responses. The statistical tools mean, percentages, correlation and regression analysis has been done to process the data towards findings. As the result, the decision accuracy, age and experiences have not been found significant. The result from the analysis revealed the significant relationship of hasty decision with herd behavior.
The paper has been built up with the aim of analyzing the microfinance institutions status and indebtedness in Nepal. Initially, the paper starts with the thematic review based on etymological, ontological, epistemological dimensions then the status of microfinance institutions and indebtedness in Nepal have been presented in the second part. The descriptive analytical research design has been adopted to analyze and interpret the population data. The fifty three microfinance institutions' data have been reviewed, tabulated and analyzed using MSExcel. The microfinance institutions have been found efficient in saving and credit services. The microfinance credit service has not been utilized as per the need of the people and capacity of the institutions. The loan recovery, interest recovery, clients awareness/activeness have been found effective. Overall, microfinance institutions status has been found sound. Only few institutions are below the satisfaction level. The microfinance services in terms of micro loan are not uniform among microfinance institutions. The indebtedness challenge have found at bottom level in the microfinance industry. It is recommended to all the microfinance institutions to come up with policies, strategies and regulatory framework to benchmark the level of tolerance to indebtedness, so that the microfinance institutions may sustain by achieving the objectives of poverty alleviation through microfinance services. The study aims in analyzing the role of cooperatives for sustainable livelihood of people in Bagmati Province (3), in Nepal. Cooperatives areconsidered to be the third pillar of Nepalese economy. The ongoing literature suggests that the cooperative movements have relationship with quality of work life of people and poverty reduction. Nepal is developing her future prosperity and growth. Hence, the study has pointed out the gap in the literature and the practice. The descriptive and analytical research designs have been adopted in the study. The secondary source has been used to collect the data. The MS Excel Software has been used to tabulate and analyze the data. The study found that the cooperative movement is more prone in Bagmati and Gandaki Province that resulted decrease in poverty rate and the increase in the employment rate. The activities of the cooperatives in the investment in share, saving, lending and employment creation hadcontributed in the sustainable livelihood of people in Bagmati Province, Nepal. .
