The article is devoted to understanding the problem of translingualism in modern English poetry. Based on the research of domestic and foreign scientists, the authors come to the conclusion that translingualism is not only the practice of switching codes and the ability of the author to create in a language that is learned for him, but also the creation of a special type of narrative, which is built on the basis of the logic of an ethnically primary culture: its patterns, archetypal substrates, key themes and motifs. The material of the article was the works of the modern Canadian writer of Indian origin Rupi Kaur, in particular, the book of poems the sun and her flowers. In the zone of special interest is the chapter “Acceleration”, devoted to the problems of immigration, the search for ontological coordinates, identity and language.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the transcultural literary text as a space for the “meeting” of languages and cultures. The modern world exists in the conditions of global transculturalism (F. Ortiz), when sign systems interact, giving rise to new images of the world. The language, which translates into a wide communicative space the elements of the original culture for the author, experiences its influence on itself. The literary text acquires multidimensionality and “convexity” due to the inclusion in it of alternative genre forms, narrative strategies and tactics, archetypes. On the basis of the novel series “Dreams of the Damned”, written by the Kazakh writer A. Zhaksylykov, we demonstrate in this work the mechanisms of “internal intercultural interaction” between Kazakh and Russian cultures, using the methods of hermeneutic commentary, mythopoetic and narrative analysis. We come to the conclusion that cultural content requires the creation of adequate forms of artistic representation. The result is the creation of new novel forms of depiction, the complication of the artistic images of the world and the strengthening of the empathic effect that a literary text can provide.
The purpose of this article is a dynamic analysis of the transformations taking place in the speech culture of bilingual students of the post-Soviet space. Russian-foreign bilingualism, as our survey shows, has undergone a certain reconfiguration over the past decade. Previous experiments convincingly proved that the Russian language is dominant in the speech culture of bilingual students, which was due to a number of estralinguistic and linguistic-functional factors. Autochthonous languages in the cognitive structure of students occupied a less stable position and were communicatively limited even in conditions of microdiscursive functioning. It was safe to say that Russian was the core of the linguistic consciousness of bilingual students. Today the situation has changed. The role of autochthonous languages is signified. The Russian language still remains a communicative dominant, providing the basic communicative needs of the individual (including the need for training and the formation of professional competencies), however, it is gradually shifting from the core towards the center, which may indicate that linguo-constructive functions in the future may be lost, and new ones associated with the ethnically primary language have not yet been formed (taking into account the small historical time), which will entail the phenomenon of mass semilingualism.
This paper deals with a significant problem of education "outside" the classrooms. Authors present the methodological cases, using their pedagogical experience. Much attention is paid in the article to specific practical assignments and examples of how best to organize extra-curricular activities of students. This paper is a presentation of a real year program for learners of RUDN University. It may be used in similar cases as its effectiveness is proved by numerous examples.
