ÖzSerebral Palsi (SP) en yaygın görülen gelişimsel yetersizliktir. SP'de motor ve postür bozukluğuna ek olarak çoğunlukla zihinsel yetersizlik, görme yetersizliği, işitme kaybı, epilepsi, konuşma ve dil bozuklukları eşlik etmektedir. Bu çalışmada erken çocukluk dönemindeki SP'li çocuğu olan annelerin, algıladıkları sosyal destek düzeyinin çocuğun cinsiyetine, yetersizlik düzeyine, akraba, komşu ya da arkadaşları ile yüz yüze ve telefonla görüşme, yakınlarının ziyarete gelme, iş amacıyla dışarı çıkma sıklığına ve çocuğun bakım yükünü alma durumuna ilişkin değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, 36'sı kız, 54'ü ve erkek, 90 SP'li çocuk ve annesi ile yürütülmüştür. Önce çocuklar, Kaba Motor Fonksiyon Sınıflama Sistemi (KMFSS) ve klinik tiplerine göre değerlendirilmiş, daha sonra annelere Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (SDÖ) uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 21.0 programı kullanılarak bağımsız örneklem t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile analiz edilmiştir. p<.05 istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda; akraba, komşu ya da arkadaşları ile yüz yüze görüşme sıklığına, ziyarete gelme sıklığına, iş amacıyla çalışmak dışında dışarı çıkma sıklığına ve çocuğun bakım yükünü alma durumuna göre anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada elde edilen bulguların, eğitim ve rehabilitasyon çocuğun tüm sorumluluğunu üstlenen annelerin farklı alanlarda desteklenmesine katkıda bulunacağı düşünülmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Serebral palsi, sosyal destek, erken çocukluk. An Investigation of Social Support Levels in Mothers of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Early Childhood AbstractCerebral Palsy (CP) is a common developmental disability. CP is primarily a disorder of movement and posture. Associated deficits are present in large majority; mental retardation, visual impairement, hearing impairment, epilepsy, speech and language disorders. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the perception of social support levels of the mothers of the children with CP in early childhood period in terms of the variables regarding the sex of the children, the level of the disability, the frequency of talking to the relatives, neighbors or friends on the phone or face to face, having a house guest, going outside for the job and carrying the responsibility of the child.
