The article discusses the treatment and prevention of feed toxicosis of pigs. A composition based on montmorillonite-containing minerals is considered as a promising enterosorbent in combination with the drug vievitin in the treatment of pig dysentery. Studies have shown that the complex use of vievitin with a sorbent by giving individually in 100 ml of drinking water at doses of 5.6 (second group) and 11.1 (third group) mg/kg body weight for vievitin and 400 mg/kg body weight bodies for the sorbent provided a high therapeutic effect in the treatment of piglets suffering from dysentery. Recovery, respectively, was 90.8 and 93.8%.
This articlestudies the action and biocompatibility of the developed montmorillonite-containing preparation "Sorbent" on experimental animals with its longterm use. The local irritating effect of the "Sorbent" preparation was evaluated by its effect on the gastric mucosa of animals with experimental ulcerative pathology. The size of the most common particles in the suspension is 5-8 microns.
The experiments were carried out on white rats of the Wistar line and non-linear Hartley guinea pigs.To identify the irritating effect, the drug was administered to animals in therapeutic doses of 200 mg/kg and three times the conditionally therapeutic dose -600 mg/kg of body weight. Destructive changes in the stomachs of experimental animals were studied macroscopically. The ulcerogenic effect was evaluated by calculating the Pauls index.
It is established that combination of silver and penicillin allows solving the vital tasks of improving the antibiotic's efficiency and creating a medication, to which bacteria would not adapt at certain concentrations of silver in the solution. The preparations with silver nano-particles and benzyl penicillin have lower antibacterial activity in comparison with the ionic form silver complexes, but the antimicrobial activity of preparations with silver nanoparticles becomes less dependent on the substrate's concentration and nature. Taking into account the low toxicity and the marginal impact of the substrate on such preparations' activity, the application of benzyl penicillin -silver nano-particles complexes is feasible.
The article discusses the main safety indicators for the use of pharmaceuticalsin preparations (pharmacin and biopharm-200) on poultry. In the body of chickens, when using pharmacin and biopharm-200, an increase in the content of erythrocytes, and in them hemoglobin, was recorded in the blood. In addition, the safety of the study drugs for human consumption is due to the fact that their concentration decreases relatively quickly in chicken eggs. Pharmazin and its derivatives (biopharm-200) are promising for use in poultry farming and can be recommended for further study for this purpose
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
