The interactions of the drug in aqueous media are associated with many thermodynamic changes. To understand these thermodynamic changes, systematic measurements of density and speed of sound of creatinine in aqueous and in aqueous solutions of 0.06 mol•kg −1 urea and 0.06 mol•kg −1 dextrose were carried out at T = 288.15−313.15 K within the concentration range of 0.02−0.2 mol•kg −1 . All measurements were performed for the density (ρ) and speed of sound (u) on Anton Paar DSA 5000M instrument. Further, the density data was employed to calculate the apparent molar volume of solute (V ϕ ) and apparent molar volume of transfer (Δ tr V ϕ 0 ).

Density and viscosity data for L-Arginine (L-Arginine + NaCl + water) systems were determined at 288.15 K and 298.15 K. The density data has been utilized to calculate apparent molar volume, limiting apparent molar volume, partial molar volume of transfer and limiting apparent molar expansivity. The viscosity data have been used to calculate coefficient of viscosity, relative viscosity and B coefficients. These thermophysical properties are used in understanding the interactions between solute-solvent and structure making or breaking ability of the solute.
