Samenvatting Dit artikel beschrijft een retrospectief follow-up onderzoek bij twaalf personen die in de periode tussen 1995-2003 als deelnemer aan een cursus Relatieen Gezinstherapie aan de UvA een demonstratiebehandeling hadden ondergaan van een single-session imaginaire exposure. De setting en de behandelvorm worden beschreven en toegelicht aan de hand van e´e´n uitgebreide casus, voorzien van een nawoord door de clie¨nt zelf. We voerden het onderzoek uit met behulp van een gestructureerd, mondeling afgenomen interview. De vragen hadden onder meer betrekking op de ervaringen van de deelnemers met de verschillende onderdelen van de sessie en op hun gevoel over de lange-termijngevolgen. De deelnemers bleken overwegend positief over de 'behandeling', hadden geen last gehad van de 'cursussetting', integendeel, en vonden dat zij erop waren vooruitgegaan.
