Octubre 5,6 y 7 de octubre de 2015 Área temática: FORMACIÓN DOCENTE Durante el desarrollo de las ponencias presentadas, se denota un incremento en el interés por desarrollar investigación en la línea de formación de docentes de biología y educación ambiental a nivel hispanoamericano, destacando la participación de países como: Chile, Argentina, México, Uruguay, Brasil, España y Colombia. Dicho fortalecimiento se justifica desde la necesidad de transformar el futuro docente, promoviendo el desarrollo de habilidades, criticas, participativas, investigativas y de conocimiento ambiental; la restructuración de la malla curricular en los diferentes programas académicos y la transformación de políticas educativas acorde a las necesidades de los profesores Se presentaron un total de 22 ponencias donde se evidencia la participación de docentes universitarios de maestría y doctorado, así como trabajos de pregrado sobre esta área temática, se resalta la participación de los semilleros de investigación vinculados a esta línea de investigación en enseñanza de las ciencias y la educación ambiental.El fundamento teórico de los trabajos presentados en esta jornada, se centran en el conocimiento didáctico del contenido, el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido y el conocimiento profesional docente, cada uno de ellos visto desde múltiples perspectivas , se hace visible la tensión en los modelos y metodologías para abordar la formación de profesores, siendo frecuente las investigaciones desde enfoques cualitativos, desde el paradigma interpretativo con nuevas propuestas desde la acción-participación Las tendencias más visibles en los trabajos de investigación se enfocan en la transversalidad en la educación ambiental y la reestructuración curricular para abordar aspectos que van más allá de los contenidos.Muchos de los trabajos sobre el estudio de la formación docente, analizan las prácticas desde lo declarativo de las mismas, pero se hace necesario un ejercicio de acción-participación en el aula, acompañado de un proceso reflexivo.En varios trabajos se puede deducir la incoherencia entre las políticas gubernamentales con las tendencias en investigación sobre la formación docente de calidad.
