We conduct this study to make an assessment on FDI, its benefit and connection with firm internal capabilities in Vietnam case. Methods we use include: qualitative analysis with statistics and data processing. Also, we used qualitative analysis to make policy suggestions with synthesis and inductive methods. We analyze the research based on five dimensions: corporate governance capacities, human resources, finance, technology, and supply. Research results show us that the five dimensions together with viewpoints from experts are quite suitable for our conducted experimental research, esp. To express the connection between local firms, national firms and foreign investment firms. Also we assess FDI based on an approach of cost-benefit analysis including FDI barriers and firm internal capabilities. Through a survey of 55 managers of FDI enterprises in Viet-Sing industrial park, the results show that enterprises here only face three difficulties in terms of costs of labor, water and energy supply, and governance and hostile regulations. This study makes a small contribution to FDI barrier theory through empirical evidence from an industrial park in a developing country, Vietnam. Then we can make policy implications and our study limitation is that we can expand for other market.
Our study will make an examination of the relationship between official development assistance (ODA), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and economic growth (GDP) in an emerging economy such as Vietnam. Regarding to methods, authors use statistics, quantitative combined with qualitative analysis. However, in the long run, although GDP has a vague effect on ODA, on the contrary, ODA put a big (significantly) effect on GDP, at the beginning of the fifth year, the relationship is not clear between ODA and GDP to promote itself increase or decrease. Foreign aid also affects the growth of nations (negatively) and, over periods, positively contributes to economic growth. Last but not least, it must be confirmed that ODA is an extra capital source for investment in development of socio-economic infrastructure and a catalyst for other investment sources such as FDI and investment capital private sector.
Educating our students in developing countries such as Vietnam is becoming necessary. So first of all, this study aims to identify factors that impact on students' decision to work for a foreign company for those who are studying in the field of social sciences and humanities. Based on 508 responses, the results from linear regression analysis shows that Self-Interests, Self-Outcome Expectations (internal factors), University's Gains, and References (external factors) were factors that affect student workplace choice. Meanwhile, the factor of capacity ("Self-efficacy") to perform the task ("Working environment") has no statistical relationship. This result suggests for educational managers, business managers in general and foreign enterprises in particular to coordinate vocational education for students.
