The aim of this study is to define whether there are any differences in the visual-motor integration skills of 60-72-month-old children at low and high socio-economic status as regard the age factor. The study was conducted on a total of 148 children consisting of 78 children representing low socio-economic status and 70 children representing high socio-economic status in the city center of Edirne. In the study, the Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual Motor Integration (VMI-5th), which was developed by Beery-Buktenica (2004) and for which the studies of validity and reliability were made by Ercan and Aral (2011) after being translated into Turkish, was administered. It is reported that both the age and the status of being at low and high socio-economic status create a meaningful difference (p<.05) in the visual-motor integration, visual perception and motor integration of 60-72-month-old children at low and high socio-economic status and visual-motor integration mean score is higher for 66-72-month-old children and the children at high socio-economic status.
This research was conducted to examine the correlation between depression and hopelessness levels in mothers of disabled children between the ages 5 and 7. A total of 126 mothers of children with disabilities was used in the study. They were obtained from the nursery schools of the
First Education Schools of the Ministry of Education or from private schools. In this study the Beck Depression Scale (Beck, Ward, Mendelson, Mock, & Erbaugh, 1961), Beck Hopelessness Scale (Beck, Lester, & Trexler, 1974) and a General Information Form (Ceylan & Aral, 2005) were
used for statistical analyses. The findings suggested a significant correlation between the depression and hopelessness levels of mothers of disabled children (p < .01).

The aim in this study was to understand the effects of project-based curricula on 6-year-old preschool children's conceptual development. Two classes of 14 preschoolers were assigned at random, 1 to the experimental group and the other to the control group. The experimental children's group took part in project-based education for a total of 12 weeks while the control group followed the regular preschool curriculum. Data about the children's conceptual development were gathered using the Bracken Basic Concept Scale-Revised (Bracken, 1998), which was previously adapted for 6-year-old Turkish children by Bütün Ayhan and Aral (2007). The results revealed that all children improved their scores between the time of pretest and posttest, but there was a small difference in favor of the experimental group in the posttest scores.
