Inter-satellite communication is a revolutionary technique used to establish communication between satellites in space. One of the major challenges in inter-satellite link is transmitting pointing errors, which causes turbulences in the link. This work is focussed on successful transmission of 120 Gbps high-speed data over 1,000 km by adopting hybrid wavelength division multiplexing scheme and polarization interleaving scheme under the influence of transmitting pointing error.

Inter-Satellite communication is one of remarkable technologies that can be used to communicate between satellites. This work is focused to carry out the investigations of polarization scheme by incorporating dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) scheme in inter-satellite communication system. A 20×6 Gbps data are transported over inter-satellite optical link having span of 5,000 km to realize the total data transmission of 120 Gbps. Moreover, results are also reported with the effect of RZ and NRZ modulation schemes. The performance of proposed inter-satellite communication link is measured in terms of signal-to-noise ratio, received power and eye diagrams.

In wireless communication, spectrum sensing (SS) is one of the important techniques to study about the radio environment. Spectrum sensing phenomenon is used to estimate the unutilized frequency band of whole radio spectrum. Utilization of available spectrum can be improved by enhancing the spectrum sensing techniques. The performance of available spectrum sensing techniques may degrade substantially in low signal to noise ratio, multipath fading & shadowing environments. This may lead to increase in probability of false alarms and decrease in probability of detection. This paper gives the categorization of different spectrum sensing techniques (SST) and it also explores the different methods used in spectrum sensing. Comparison of energy detector (ED), matched filter detection (MFD), cyclostationary feature detection (CFD), waveform detection (WD) and eigen value detection (EVD) based on their methodology and accuracy is also present in this paper. Various issues associated with these spectrum sensing techniques are highlighted here and futuristic solutions proposed for improvement in existing spectrum sensing techniques.

Radius of circular patch has an important role in the designing of circular microstrip antenna (CSMA). A new model based on artificial neural network (ANN) is presented for calculating radius of CSMA. The artificial neural network model is simple and is very useful for computer aided design (CAD) of such types of microstrip antennas and other similar applications. The result calculated by ANN model is in very good agreement with the experimental result and the result reported by other methods available in many literatures.
