Dihydrolevoclucosenone (Cyrene is its market name) is a biomass-derived solvent, that can be produced in only two steps from biomass, while being biodegradable, non-mutagenic and non-toxic. Its “green” profile combined...
The development of greener and more sustainable methods, as well as the adaptation of already existing protocols to more environmentally friendly procedures, has become crucial for Organic Synthesis. The introduction...
A novel and easy-to-execute light-driven protocol for the preparation of alkyl boronic acid pinacol esters from vinyl boronate using N-hydroxyphthalimide esters as the potential precursor is described. In this photochemical protocol, the Nhydroxyphthalimide ester's fragmentation generates C-centered radicals, which undergo a radical Michael addition to vinyl boronic pinacol ester furnishing the desired products. A good substrate scope having various functionalities is presented and good to high yields are obtained.
Organic synthesis is in a continuous lookout for the development of novel organic reactions or the improvement of traditional organic transformations. The hydroacylation of dialkyl azodicarboxylates has received a lot...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
