Multifocal sclerosing hemangioma of the lung is a rare entity. While solitary pulmonary lesions by themselves are uncommon and few reports have been described, multifocal bilateral lesions are rare and limited instances have been cited in indexed medical literature. We herewith describe a case of multiple sclerosing hemangiomas of the lung, in a patient who also had a vascular malformation over the calf.
International Journal of Case Reports and Images (IJCRI) is an international, peer reviewed, monthly, open access, online journal, publishing high-quality, articles in all areas of basic medical sciences and clinical specialties.Aim of IJCRI is to encourage the publication of new information by providing a platform for reporting of unique, unusual and rare cases which enhance understanding of disease process, its diagnosis, management and clinico-pathologic correlations.IJCRI publishes Review Articles, Case Series, Case Reports, Case in Images, Clinical Images and Letters to Editor.

The patient may present as asthma or acute tracheobronchial obstruction and may require urgent management to relive obstruction. It has a propensity to spread along both submucosal and perineural planes which are responsible for late local recurrence even after complete resection. The best results can be obtained by resection with or without adjuvant radiotherapy. Case Report: We report a rare case of endoluminal adenoid cystic carcinoma of the distal trachea presenting with acute tracheal obstruction managed bronchoscopically with high power diode laser followed by segmental resection of trachea and radiotherapy with 18 months of follow-up with no evidence of recurrence.
Conclusion:There are only very few reports available for the use of diode laser with flexible bronchoscope in tracheobronchial adenoid cystic carcinoma. However, rarity of such tumors makes it impossible to obtain such data. This technique, in such rare tumors, is safe with almost no or limited morbidity from our experience and available data.
Tracheobronchial carcinoids are relatively uncommon neoplasms with malignant (though indolent) potential and variable behavior. Clinical presentation is usually similar to any obstructive tracheobronchial lesions or rarely with presentation of carcinoid syndrome. Management varies from Pneumonectomy to use of lung sparing bronchoscoplastic techniques. We report the case of a 32-year-old male patient diagnosed with carcinoid of left main bronchus. Patient was successfully treated with trans-bronchoscopic diode laser. At 24 months of follow up patient remains asymptomatic and recurrence-free.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
