O enoturismo é uma das principais áreas do segmento do vinho, fato que levou as autoras do presente trabalho a realizar, inicialmente, uma pesquisa sobre oassunto. Como desdobramento desse projeto surgiu a ideia de promover um evento com esse tema. Assim sendo, este trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar um relato de experiência sobre o Seminário de Enoturismo da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), narrando aspectos relativos à concepção, execução e participações no evento (ouvintes, palestrantes e discentes que atuaram na organização). Para a coleta de dados dos participantes do evento foi utilizado um formulário online disponibilizado na plataforma Google Docs®, que registrou 25 participantes no evento, dos quais 56% estavam na faixa etária de 18 a 30 anos. Foi possível perceber que 74% dos participantes ainda não tinham realizado atividades ligadas ao enoturismo; 20% mencionaram ter interesse pelo evento apenas por curiosidade, já outros 20% participaram do seminário por estudarem assuntos ligados a enologia e 16% relataram ter afinidade pelo tema. Cabe destacar que um evento com este perfil aumenta a integração entre participantes de áreas distintas de atuação acadêmica e profissional, oportunizando diversas experiências com aqueles que não tiveram contato com o turismo do vinho.
Foram estudadas percepções e os hábitos dos consumidores acerca da ingestão de vinhos e benefícios da bebida à saúde. Foi utilizado um questionário online, respondido por 479 consumidores de vinhos finos. Percebeu-se que o consumo médio semanal dos respondentes foi discreto (menos de uma vez por semana). O prazer pela degustação e a predileção por consumir vinhos com amigos e familiares, foram salientados. Uma considerável parcela dos consumidores sabe que vinhos propiciam benefícios à saúde; sendo os tintos os mais consumidos e considerados os mais “saudáveis”. A bebida, usada principalmente em molhos para carnes, foi citada por poucos participantes como uma possível matéria-prima para cozinhar. Diversos participantes nunca foram orientados a incluir vinhos na dieta como um hábito saudável; e um percentual desses indivíduos ou afirmou não saber a quantidade diária recomendada de vinhos, ou respondeu de forma equivocada. Sobre espumantes, os brut e extra brut foram os preferidos.
