<p>En este artículo se establece como propuesta metodológica para la enseñanza de las matemáticas en el nivel de Ingenieria a la fase didáctica de la Matemática en Contexto de las Ciencias. Se parte de la selección de un evento contextualizado y posteriomente se muestran los pasos que el profesor de matemáticas debe seguir para presentar a los estudiantes una matemática contextualizada. Se trabaja con el caso particular de una ecuación diferencial para determinar matemáticamente el orden de una reacción química. Con esta actividad se logra vincular dos áreas de conocimiento las matemáticas avanzadas con la bioquímica avanzada, materias cursadas por un Ingeniero en Procesos Bioalimentarios del subsistema de Universidades Tecnológicas. La propuesta metodológica se distingue por actividades previas, tales como la selección adecuada del evento a contextualizar, la identificación de los conocimientos previos de matemáticas y de la disciplina del contexto, y el diseño de la situación de aprendizaje en donde se trabaja con la Matemática en Contexto. Estas actividades las debe realizar el profesor antes de proponer a los estudiantes la situación de aprendizaje contextualizada. Los hallazgos sugieren que con la implementación de esta propuesta metodológica los estudiantes se convierten en sujetos activos con un papel protagónico en su formación académica y profesional mientras que el profesor se transforma en una guía y facilitador del conocimiento, donde su papel principal es el diseño de las situaciones de aprendizaje y su conducción durante la ejecución de las mismas.<strong></strong></p><p><strong><br /><br /></strong></p>
