The aim of this research was to explore perception toward single women, according to respondents from 4 different subject groups. Exploration on topic was intriguing to be further researched, considering that the percentage of single women had been increasing in numerous countries, but the discussion was lacking, especially in Indonesia. Respondents in this study were Indonesian single or married men and women aged 25-70 years. Respondents were gathered through purposive incidental sampling (N = 128) and consisted of 41 single women, 49 married women, 13 single men, and 25 married men. An open-ended questionnaires constructed by the first author was used as measurement tools. Respondents were tasked to mention perceived positive and negative impression toward single women. Data gathered underwent two analysis stages. The first part was a descriptive content analysis and the second stage was a descriptive statistical analysis comparing means from one-way ANOVA. Statistical analysis showed significant result (average p < .05) when comparing means of positive and negative perception based on demographic statistics. Results showed significant negative perception and strong labeling toward single women although there were also significant positive perceptions. Negative and positive perceptions of single women tend to be universal from several generations of adults.
Background: Primipara is a client who really needs discharge planning to support her baby care skills independently at home after returning from the hospital. Discharge planning is one of the important elements in nursing services to improve client skills independently to perform care after discharge.Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of discharge planning according to the standards of maternal skills in caring for newborns.Methods: The research design was a quasi experimental study with a pre and post-test design with a control group. This research was conducted at a hospital in Banyuwangi. The research sample was 30 spontaneous primiparous patients, then divided into two groups, namely the experimental group given discharge planning according to the standard n=15 and the control group given conventional discharge planning treatment n=15. Sampling using Consecutive Sampling and data collection using the observation sheet of maternal skills about baby care. Data analyzed using paired T test and unpaired T test.Results: The results showed that the skills of mothers in caring for newborns in the experimental group had a higher value than the control group with the difference in the skills of caring for the umbilical cord of 3.60, changing diapers by 3.33 and breastfeeding by 6.60. Further analysis obtained p value=0.000 (p> 0.05), which means that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups.Conclusion: Discharge planning in accordance with standards can improve the skills of mothers in caring for their babies. Discharge planning in accordance with the standards should be implemented in the hospital, because discharge planning is one of the important elements in nursing services which aims to make clients independent after discharge from the hospital. Abstrak. Disiplin kerja guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang menjadi tolak ukur dari keberhasilan sekolah. Disiplin kerja guru yang dimaksud adalah kesadaran akan keharusan melaksanakan aturan yang sudah ditentukan oleh sekolah. Dengan adanya disiplin yang baik akan memungkinkan seorang guru dengan kebiasaan yang positif dan dapat bermanfaat bagi diri dan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui pengaruh supervisi akademik terhadap disiplin kerja guru, (2) mengetahui pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap disiplin kerja guru, (3) mengetahui pengaruh supervisi akademik dan komitmen organisasi secara bersama-sama terhadap disiplin kerja guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara.Populasi penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif analisis deskriptif pada 42 SDN di Kecamatan Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara yang berjumlah 446 orang, sampel 211 guru yang dipilih dengan teknik proportional random sampling pada tiap sekolah. Penelitian di lakukan pada bulan Juli-Desember 2021. Uji validitas, reliabilitas dan analisa data diskriptif, uji regresi tunggal dan regresi ganda menggunakan program SPSS for Windows versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh supervisi akademik terhadap disiplin kerja guru sebesar 11,5%, (2) Ada pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap disiplin kerja guru sebesar 16,9%, (3) Ada pengaruh positif supervisi akademik dan komitmen organisasi secara bersama-sama terhadap disiplin kerja guru yang sebesar 19,9%.Saran kepada (1) Guru-guru SDN sekecamatan agar mendukung program kerja sekolah sesuai rencana kegiatan untuk mewujudkan keterlaksanan rencana kerja sekolah., (2) Kepala sekolah agar mengintensifkan evaluasi hasil supervisi, (3) Satkordikcam Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara Memberikan pelatihan kompetensi kepada kepala sekolah SD Negeri secara terprogram untuk meningkatkan kinerja supervisi.
