This research discussed Oral Tradition Nandong (OTN) role through its performance of advice tradition in Simueluenese toward the agricultural sector. Further, it described how the performance supported food security during the lockdown period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The location of the research was on Simeulue Island. The data were collected by doing depth-interview and observation. The anthropolinguistic approach was used in this research. The research presented a model of food security in a rural area that deliberates both natural conditions and human effort. It showed that the role of OTN affected tenacity for surviving their food security as a concept. It was delivered through their daily activity and on some occasions. In those moments, the procedure in farming and cultivating are shared in a frame of advice. The obedience to obeying advice had affected Simeuluenese way of having access to sufficient food as their food security. This effort protected them from lack of food (especially the primary food) during lockdown situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It can be concluded that OTN has an important role and should be accounted for in the agricultural sector for food security. Oral tradition as a medium to store and share knowledge and experiences built a cultural-based effort to maintain Simeuluenese agriculture for food security.
Due to outbreak of the Covid 19, the implementation of education and learning has extremely changed. Face to face meetings as a conventional learning is no longer conducted, in contrast, online learning is more often employed. Thus, a solution to this problem is required to respond to this problem. Online learning is an alternative that can overcome this problem. The purpose of this research is to get a reflection of the implementation of online education by using online media to reduce the outbreak of Covid-19 in universities. The research subjects were PGMI students who were interviewed through Zoom Cloud Meeting to collect the data. The data analysis employed was an interactive analysis method Miles & Huberman. The results of the research showed that: (1) the students had already had the basic facilities needed to explore online education; (2) the online education was flexibly being implemented, encouraging learning independently, motivating to learn more actively; and (3) long distance education urges the students to get used to social distancing attitude and minimizes crowds to reduce the outbreak of Covid-19 in institutions tertiary. The lack of supervision of students, lack of internet signals in remote areas, and high quota payments were challenges in online education. The increasing of independent learning, attention, motivation, and the courage to express ideas and problems was another advantage of online education.
This study aims to describe the strategy of politeness in speech acts of final semester students of Indonesian Language Education at Pidie. This research focuses on the strategies of politeness speech acts used by the final semester students of Indonesian Language Education in Pidie Regency in communicating. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. This research is a type of field research. The research was carried out in six stages: (1) making and distributing data source information instruments, (2) classifying the results of data collection as a reference for data collection, (3) recording student conversations when communicating freely in public places (4) transcribing data obtained by recording, (5) analyze and describe the research results carefully, (6) calculate the percentage of occurrence of each type of speech act politeness strategy used by students in communicating. The results showed that the final semester students of Indonesian Language Education in Pidie Regency used three of the four speech act politeness strategies, namely the type without a strategy, the type of positive politeness strategy, and the type of negative politeness strategy.
This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and supervision of learning in the 4.0 industrial revolution era at one kindergarten school located in Pematangsiantar since early childhood education is expected to produce creative, character, competent and innovative graduates which can only be done through the creation of conducive learning conditions supported by learning management. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The research was carried out at one kindergarten school located in Pematangsiantar with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results showed that based on existing competencies in the 4.0 industrial revolution era, there were innovations and a number of breakthroughs produced by teachers in improving the quality of learning in the form of curriculum development and the use of information and communication technology in carrying out several approaches and learning strategies. One of the breakthroughs that has been made is video learning for early childhood. All processes of innovation and breakthroughs in the learning process are supported by the ability of teachers to implement good learning management principles.
This article aims to describe the teacher's role and the implications of learning Aqidah Akhlak in the formation of the religious character of students at MTs Thoriqul Ulum Trawas. Qualitative with a case study approach has been used in this study. Data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation methods, while validity techniques use credibility, source triangulation, technical triangulation, and dependability. The results of the research are presented as follows: 1. Akhlak Aqidah teachers become motivators, mentors, and educators for students and are also less than optimal in their roles as facilitators and demonstrators. 2. The implications of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in forming the religious character of students at MTs Thoriqul Ulum, namely making students have the nature of discipline, responsibility, and honesty.
