Este artículo presenta un diseño de un sistema mecatrónico para apoyar a niños en su rehabilitación de la extremidad superior (hombro, muñeca y mano). Se diseña una interfaz de comunicación empleando la tarjeta arduino para enlazar el sistema mecánico y el software hombre-maquina. Además, se realiza un juego con el propósito de que sea atractivo el sistema mecatrónico y sirva de motivación para que los niños puedan avanzar en sus terapias físicas.
El sistema mecatrónico es diseñado en un software CAD con todos sus componentes, la parte electrónica es realizada con la tarjeta arduino para controlar el avance de las terapias y el juego es creado mediante una plataforma de juegos. El equipo experimental de rehabilitación se diseña con la asesoría de terapeutas y abalado por un centro de rehabilitación de niños con problemas motrices.
