RESUMOObjetivo: Avaliar o nível de atividade física e quais fatores estão associados a esta pratica em adolescentes. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo observacional transversal, realizada com adolescentes do 8° ano do ensino fundamental ao 3° do ensino médio. A amostra calculada compreendeu 958 estudantes. O nível atividade física foi avaliada segundo o "Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física (IPAQ)'', e se o adolescente praticava alguma modalidade esportiva. Os fatores associados foram sexo, idade, cigarro, bebida alcoólica, excesso de peso e consumo diário de frutas e verduras. Resultados: A amostra foi considerada ativa fisicamente (87,2%) e praticante de modalidade esportiva (72,3%). Adolescentes do sexo masculino apresentaram-se mais ativos e praticantes de modalidades esportivas do que as moças. Jovens de 12-15 anos praticam mais modalidades esportivas do que os de 16-19 anos. Os adolescentes que fazem uso de bebidas alcoólicas são os que mais praticam modalidades esportivas.Descritores: Saúde do Adolescente; Atividade Física; Sedentarismo; Consumo de Alimentos. ABSTRACTObjective: To assess the level of physical activity and the banks in which they are associated. Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational study carried out with adolescents from the 8th year of elementary school to the 3rd year of secondary education. A calculated sample comprised 958 students. Physical activity was assessed according to the "International Questionnaire of Physical Activity (IPAQ)", and if the adolescent practiced some sports modality, foods, sex, alcohol, alcoholic beverages, overweight and daily consumption of fruits and vegetables. The sample was estimated to be physically active (87.2%) and a sports practitioner (72.3%), and male adolescents were more active and practicing sports than girls, they practice more sports than 16-19 year olds. Adolescents who use alcoholic beverages are those who practice more sports.
