The leading unfavorable factors of the educational environment and the educational process that
contributed to the development of myopia in students were the irrational distribution of the educational
load in accordance with the difficulty of subjects and the dynamics of student performance, the
pronounced intensity of the learning process due to sensory loads as a result of the considerable stress of
the visual analyzer in classrooms, against background insufficient artificial lighting and unfavorable
air-thermal conditions in classrooms. Every third student has a visual impairment, with the leading
pathology being middle degree myopia, which by the end of the 10th grade increased by 2.7 times.
