Abstract. Introduction: It is known that children with speech disorders can have problems in cognitive functioning, restrictions in communication, isolation, aloofness. Naturally, such children need speech therapy and developing of thinking processes, perfection of cognitive functions. Purpose: To determine changes in non-uniformity of children's cognitive and psycho-physical functions after application of dance-cognitive training forms. Material: In experiment 5-6 years' age children with speech disorders participated. The tested group consisted of 14 children. All parents gave written consent for participation of their children in experiment. We used cluster analysis and assessment of main psycho-physical and cognitive functions with the help of tests of increasing complexity. The tests were assessed in points from 1 to 10. In assessment we considered musicality, coordination of dance movements, plasticity. Results: at the beginning and at the end of academic year we formed sub-groups with uniform physical and psycho-physical qualities, cognitive functions and dance abilities. Cluster analysis permitted to determine the fact of uniformity increase in children with improved indicators of psycho-physical qualities and cognitive functions. Conclusions: we offered programs of dance-cognitive trainings for pre-school age children with speech disorders.
Abstract. Introduction: It is known that regular listening to specially selected music develops children's cognitive abilities. Musical influence optimizes many important functions of brain: increases mental workability; accelerates processing of information; improves short term memory. Besides, sensitivity of visual and hearing analyzers strengthens, as well as regulation of arbitrary movements; indicators of verbal and non verbal intellect improve. Purpose: to determine peculiarities of musical rhythm's mastering by pre-school age children with speech disorders with the help of dance-correction program trainings. Material: the categories of the tested children: children of age -4-5 and 5-6 years with speech disorders and healthy pre-school age children. Children of 4-5 years' age composed: main group (n=12), control group (n=16); group of healthy children (n=24). For assessment of verbal thinking and rhythm-motor (or dance) abilities we used complex of tests of constantly increasing difficulty. Results: we found that under influence of dance-correcting exercises activation of rhythm-motor abilities and development of cognitive functions happened in children. We also found main functional peculiarities of musical rhythm's mastering by preschool age children. It was determined that by the end of pedagogic experiment, main groups of children approached to groups of healthy peers by all tested characteristics. Conclusions: it is recommended to include correcting components (fit ball -dance gymnastic, tales-therapy, logo-rhythm trainings, and game fitness) in trainings by choreographic program.
Purpose:to work out methodic of speech disorders correction in 4-6 yrs children by ergo and art therapy means.
Material:during academic year three groups of children (n=97) were being observed: two groups -with speech disorders (control and main) and one group of healthy children. Psycho-motor and cognitive functions were assessed with the help of tests for motor coordination (speed of their fulfillment, verbal thinking).
Results:it was found that characteristic feature of such children is critical estimation of own speech insufficiency and conscious avoiding oral answers. By cluster analysis results increase of homogeneity in psycho-physical condition's positive changes, cognitive functions and dance abilities resulted from dance-correction training program were shown.
Conclusions:the worked out dance-correction choreographic trainings helps in the following: developing rhythm sense; strengthening of skeleton and muscles; memory, attention, thinking and imagination simulation. Acquiring of such experience will help a child to further successfully train different art-creative and sports kinds of activities; to master choreography and gymnastic as well as different musical instruments.
