Surface conductivity of the thermoelements on a basis of the extruded samples of Bi055b15Te3 and Bi2Te27Se03 solid solutions and influence of the distorted surface layer, arising at manufacturing thermoelements on their bulk thermoelectric properties have been investigated over 77 -470 K temperature range. It is found that thermoelectrical efficiency ofthermoelements after treatment ofa surface increases by 10-20%.The obtained results are explained by creating of the distorted layer of -20 m thickness on a surface of thermoelements in the course oftheir manufacturing.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
