L’hétérogénéité des classes primaires amène plusieurs chercheur·e·s à se pencher sur les pratiques de différenciation pédagogique afin de permettre au plus grand nombre d’apprenant·e·s de réussir. Il en ressort que les pratiques pédagogiques et les dispositifs didactiques mobilisés par les enseignant·e·s en classe doivent pouvoir se mettre au diapason des caractéristiques individuelles des apprenant·e·s. Pour ce faire, il semble que la gestion de classe soit un déterminant quant à l’implantation des pratiques différenciées. Cet article présente une recherche mixte qui vise à explorer les relations entre les pratiques différenciées et le sentiment d’efficacité à gérer la classe chez des enseignant·e·s au primaire de Montréal. Un questionnaire a été rempli par 154 enseignant·e·s du centre de service scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM) et un groupe de discussion a été organisé auprès de six d’entre eux. Les résultats obtenus tendent à confirmer la corrélation entre le SEP à gérer la classe et la fréquence d’utilisation de pratiques différenciées. Plus précisément, ils indiquent que la qualité des relations sociales en classe, dont celles entre les élèves et l’enseignant·e, est un prédicteur d’une utilisation plus fréquente de la différenciation pédagogique. Une relation enseignant·e-élève positive agirait comme un catalyseur pour favoriser des gestes didactiques différenciés.
La variabilité des apprenants fréquentant les établissements universitaires et l’essor de la formation en ligne en situation de crise sanitaire amènent les enseignants à se questionner sur leurs pratiques. Relativement à l’évaluation des apprentissages, des questions se posent concernant les différentes pratiques visant à réduire les inégalités. Le dispositif de formation présenté dans cet article propose une façon de favoriser des pratiques pédagogiques actives dans un contexte en ligne et de penser l’évaluation de manière inclusive afin de favoriser les apprentissages et une évaluation équitable. Cette étude de cas expose la démarche effectuée dans le cadre d’un cours au cycle supérieur en sciences de l’éducation offert à un groupe de douze étudiants provenant de milieux différents et ayant des expériences éclectiques.
