Dans cet article, nous présentons les résultats d’une étude sur un OGM de seconde génération, le riz «doré », génétiquement modifié pour contenir du b-carotène. Nous rendons compte d’une évaluation contingente menée auprès de consommateurs démographiquement représentatifs des ménages français. Si la grande majorité des ménages n’a jamais entendu parler du riz «doré » et juge cet aliment inacceptable, on observe cependant qu’un quart de notre échantillon serait prêt à acheter ce produit surtout si celui-ci est vendu au même prix voire à un prix inférieur au prix du riz traditionnel.
