ÖZ: Bu araştırmada, PISA 2009 Okuma Becerileri performansını değerlendirmede kullanılan açık uçlu soruların, dört puanlayı tarafından aynı anda ve dönüşümlü olarak yaptıkları puanlamadan elde edilen farklı desenler Genellenebilirlik Kuramına göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini, PISA 2009 uygulamasına katılan 4996 öğrenciden, okuma becerileri alanında yer alan soruları yanıtlayan ve yanıtladıkları kitapçıklar birden fazla puanlayıcı tarafından puanlanan 362 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, Genellenebilirlik kuramında kullanılmak üzere farklı iki desen tasarlanmıştır. Söz konusu desenlerden ilki, öğrenci (Ö), soru (S) ve puanlayıcı (P) değişkenleri olmak üzere, öğrencilerin aynı beceriler konusunda herbir puanlayıcı tarafından puanlandığı Ö x S x P çapraz desendir. Oluşturulan ikinci desen ise, (Ö:P) x S desenidir ve bu desende her bir puanlayıcı öğrencilerden sadece bir kısmını puanlamaktadır ve öğrenci ve puanlayıcı değişkenleri yuvalanmış, sorular ise bu değişkenlerle çaprazlanmıştır,. ÖxSxP ve (Ö:P) x S desenleri karşılaştırıldığında, (Ö:P) x S deseni ile kestirilen bağıl ve mutlak hata varyanslarının ÖxSxP desenine göre daha küçük olduğu, dolayısıyla G ve Phi katsayılarının daha büyük değerler aldığı görülmektedir. K çalışması sonucunda, her iki desende de puanlayıcı sayısının artırılması G ve Phi Katsayılarında artışa neden olmaktadır. Kitapçık 2’de puanlayıcı sayısını yarıya indirdiğimizde kabul edilebilir düzeyde G ve Phi Katsayısı elde edilirken Kitapçık 8’de puanlayıcı sayısını artırmak daha uygun görünmektedir.
