No contexto da implementação da Política Nacional de Educação Popular em Saúde, aprofundam-se a análise e reflexão sobre o processo de institucionalização da Educação Popular em Saúde no Sistema Único de Saúde. Identifica-se e problematiza-se a compreensão dos atores do campo da educação popular sobre o processo de institucionalização, suas potencialidades, riscos e desafios. Configura-se em uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e análise bibliográfica. Conclui que a institucionalização da educação popular em saúde configura-se em uma aposta e que seu êxito dependerá do reconhecimento e respeito à historicidade e ao conjunto dos saberes, práticas e lutas do campo popular na saúde.
A ideia que dá forma a esse artigo é a da conjunção dos depoimentos de cinco mulheres palestinas - ou lá nascidas ou descendentes de palestinos que se viram obrigados a deixar sua casa, seus pertences, seu chão – para compor um mosaico em que se possam ler não apenas o sofrimento e a luta desse povo, sua resistência heroica ao longo desses últimos cem anos, mas também o que essas mulheres construíram, por meio da palavra – e a despeito de tudo - com seu trabalho diário, seu ativismo e sua arte.
Israel sempre quis expulsar os palestinos de seu território com o fito de estabelecer um Estado judaico. Porém, comunidades palestinas resistiram e permaneceram, mesmo sob o controle do governo militar israelense e uma vasta gama de métodos de vigilância, isto é, diversos planos para controlar e monitorar os palestinos foram elaborados, sendo a divisão dos palestinos de acordo com vários princípios de organização um dos principais métodos para se alcançar este fim. Observa-se, portanto, que este sistema possibilitou a objetificação dos palestinos, sendo aprimorada pelo fluxo contínuo e extensivo de informações. O propósito de Israel, então, nunca se alterou: a quebra da solidariedade entre os palestinos e sua incorporação às margens da política e da economia israelense como coletividades subordinadas desprovidas de identidade, visão, vontade ou qualquer capacidade de resistência são ferramentas que auxiliam a expulsão dos palestinos.
