Kajian tentang wilayah perbatasan sudah banyak dilakukan terutama sejak lepasnya P. Sipadan dan P. Ligitan dari wilayah NKRI. Dari segi kebahasaan, kajian terhadap masyarakat di wilayah perbatasan yang dapat dilakukan antara lain adalah bagaimana sikap bahasa mereka. Sebagian masyarakat di wilayah perbatasan merupakan dwibahasawan, terjadi karena adanya interaksi antarmasyarakat kedua negara. Situasi ini memungkinkan timbulnya persaingan dalam memilih bahasa. Kajian ini mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana pandangan dan sikap bahasa masyarakat perbatasan di Entikong terhadap bahasa daerah, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa negara tetangga. Secara politik wilayah perbatasan atau pulau-pulau kecil dapat dikatakan hilang apabila masyarakat di wilayah tersebut lebih mengakui negara lain dibandingkan negaranya sendiri. Dari segi psikologis, penduduk yang tinggal di daerah perbatasan rasa nasionalismenya cenderung tipis, terutama yang bertetangga dengan negara yang lebih tinggi kemakmuran ekonominya. Hal ini dapat menjadi penyebab makin banyaknya masyarakat perbatasan yang lebih memilih untuk belajar dan menggunakaan bahasa negara tetangga serta mengabaikan bahasa daerah dan bahasa Indonesia yang menjadi ikatan primordial. Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, berdasarkan data primer dari 108 responden dengan purposive random sampling, hasilnya, pandangan dan sikap bahasa responden terhadap bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerah cenderung berada pada kategori positif sementara terhadap bahasa asing cenderung cukup positif. Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan responden, semakin tidak positif sikap bahasanya terhadap bahasa asing.
21st Century Skills and Information Literacy are very important to know about their development in the lecture process in tertiary institutions. Profiling has yet to be carried out to map this in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. Therefore, this research aims to profile 21st Century Skills and Information Literacy in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. This type of research is mixed methods research using a Concurrent Embedded Design. The respondents were 30 undergraduate students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research instruments used were questionnaires, interview guides, and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test. The study's results, namely critical thinking skills and problem-solving, communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation, and information literacy skills, still needed to be higher for most students. Only the Creativity and Innovation Skills skills differed significantly between the upper and lower semesters. The study findings are discussed, followed by a review of the implications for educational institutions, policymakers, and future research.
This study aims to describe the emotional intelligence contained in the Dhangdhang Bang Bunghalan Tattwa Text. The discussion includes the development of people's emotional intelligence in the global era which can be done through the study of the Dhangdhang Bang Bunghalan Tattwa Text. The theories used in this study were the narrative discourse, semiotic and reception. The study uses Hermeneutic approach. The results show that the Dhangdhang Bang Bunghalan Tattwa Text contains an appeal for the development of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence can be developed through giving examples, appeals for togetherness behavior, polite language and habituation in problem solving. Through the implementation of the teachings contained in the text, it can direct Hindus in particular to always be wise, patient, and ethical in their behavior in the global era. This can be done through Pandita (high priest) who transfers the teachings contained in the Dhangdhang Bang Bunghalan Tattwa Text.
