This study aimed to produce teaching materials in the form of IPA Modules of living creatures and the environment based on a quality contextual approach in terms of expert validation and testing to students. This development research uses the ADDIE model development procedure (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects of this study are students of grade IV-B SD Negeri 033 Tarakan with a total of 24 people. Criteria for quality of IPA module material of living creature relationship and environment, viewed material validation result 98% (very valid), design validation 87.5% (very valid), validation of language 97% (very valid), 100% validation validation (very valid) and validation practitioner 88% (very valid), so the average validation result gets a percentage of 94% (very valid). Based on the questionnaire, the students' responses were 93% (very good) Based on what has been explained that the IPA module based on the contextual approach that has been developed is qualified.
Nature of Science knowledge understanding can be related to natural science conceptual understanding. It is expected that having understanding in nature of science concepts will minimize misconception in science concepts. Therefore, every teacher should understand aspects on nature of science. Because of the importance of nature of science, a research on elementary school teachers’ understanding on nature of science in 4P areas (rural, bordered, coastal, and urban) should be done. This research is aimed to to know the use of View of Nature of Science form B that has been translated and adapted to Bahasa Indonesia. This is qualitative research, in which focusing on evaluating elementary school teachers’ view of nature of science and the use of transadapted VNOS form B questionnaire that has been developed by Lederman and El-Khalick in the USA. Indeed, there are six aspect of Nature of Science that has been measured using VNOS form B. The result shows that most of respondents are naïve in understanding those six NOS aspects.
Waste is very serious problem, especially in the Tarakan area. One of the ways to manage waste is through empowering the young generation in 4R-based waste managing (reduce, reuse, recycle and replace). This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach through the type of pre-experiment. This study measures the knowledge, skills and attitudes of students in Department of Elementary Teacher School in University of Borneo Tarakan. The pre-experiment research design carried out was one pretest-posttest group on observing student knowledge, and one shot case study on observing skills and attitudes. aspects of knowledge obtained an average before the activity of 50,625 and the average after activity amounted to 79,13889. On the skill aspect, the results obtained on a 1-5 Likert scale on a reduce of 4.5; reuse of 4.25; recycle 4.12; and replace 3.98. The attitude aspect was obtained at 80% in affective, and 76.5% in conative.
Guru profesional harus memiliki 4 kompetensi, salah satunya yaitu kompetensi pedagogik, dalam kompetensi pedagogik, salah satu aspek yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru yaitu dalam melakukan penilaian dan evaluasi. Hal ini mengacu pada Permendikbud No. 66 tahun 2013 bahwa penilaian yang dibuat harus berdasarkan acuan penilaian bagi pendidik, satuan pendidikan dan pemerintah pada satuan pendidikan dasar dan menengah. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan guru-guru di SDN 004 Malinau Barat, terdapat permasalahan dalam pembuatan soal. guru belum mengikuti kaidah penulisan soal, hal itu menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa belum sesuai dengan kompetensi yang diharapkan. Pelatihan Pengabdian Masyarakat menggunakan metode ceramah, penugasan dan diskusi serta pendampingan pembuatan kisi-kisi soal dan penyusunan soal. Langkah-langkah kegiatan yaitu dengan pelatihan berupa teori, penugasan secara mandiri dan diskusi. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Malinau. Data angket yang diberikan kepada peserta menunjukkan bahwa 58,3% merupakan hal yang baru, 75 % pelatihan ini sangat membantu dalam pelaksanaan tugas, 100% peserta memperoleh tambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dan pelatihan sangat efektif. 91,3% mengatakan waktu seimbang dengan materi dan, dan 100% menyatakan perlu ada pelatihan lanjutan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berkarakter berbasis integrasi model pembelajaran problem based learning dan keterampilan proses sains ditinjau dari uji validasi isi, konstruk, dan bahasa serta respon siswa. Prosedur pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan pada model pengembangan 3-D, yaitu Define, Design, Develop. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah silabus dan RPP, Buku Ajar Siswa (BAS) dan Lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, tes, kuesioner atau angket dan dokumentasi. Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat layak berdasarkan skor rata-rata oleh tim ahli. Berdasarkan penelitian, dapat disimpulkanbahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat layak ditinjau dari hasil validasi isi, konstruk dan bahasa serta respon siswa sangat baik.
