Allah hakkında kullandığımız terimler zorunlu olarak gücümüzün ve ifadelerimizin sınırlılığıyla ilişkilidir. Bunun en önemli sebebi sözcüklerimizin dünyaya ve tecrübelerimize ait olmasıyla ilgilidir. Dolayısıyla O’nun hakkında yaptığımız nitelemeler gerçekte O’nun isimleri değil, anlayışımızı yükseltmeyi kamçılayan sözcüklerdir denilebilir. Beşerî düzlemde dahi objesini tam olarak temsil edemeyen sözcükler Aşkın olana transfer edildiğinde/tatbik edildiğinde bu “eksiklik/kusur” tebellür etmektedir. Din dilinin kendine has sorularının ve sorunlarının olması oldukça tabiidir. Hususiyetle konuşulanın Aşkın, konuşanın ve sözün sınırlı olduğu gerçeği dikkate alındığında Tanrı hakkında konuşmanın çeşitli çıkmazları/sorunları/zorlukları muhtevi olduğunu söylemek işten bile değildir. Hal böyle olunca düşünce geleneğinde O’nun hakkında konuşmaya dair tenzih, teşbih, temsil, tenzih-teşbih cemi gibi pek çok yaklaşımlar/teklifler geliştirilmiş ve özellikle de felsefe, Kelam ve tasavvuf alanlarında kaleme alınmış eserlerde bu konular etraflıca tartışılmıştır. Makalemizde ise biz, din dili veya teolojik dil diye isimlendirilen mevzu hakkında ortaya konulmuş önerilerden biri olan ve başta Felsefe ve Kelam geleneğinin benimsediği tenzihi dilin ne olduğuna kısaca değindikten sonra, tenzihî dile yöneltilen tenkitleri ele almaya çalışacağız. Bu çalışmanın asıl meselesi ise teşbihten bütünüyle ayrı bir tenzihi dilin mümkün olup olmadığı hakkında birkaç soru ortaya atmak ve bu sorulara cevap bulmaya çalışmaktır.
