This research was aimed to investigate the connection between the social networking sites and green entrepreneurship intentions through a mediated-moderated model. The study was based on the Shepero’s model of entrepreneurship intentions and Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior. The study design reflects that social networking sites and green entrepreneurship intentions are mediated by risk propensity and self-efficacy, while self-efficacy and green entrepreneurship intentions’ relationship is further moderated by subjective norms. A well-structured and self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 500 respondents. The data were analyzed, and hypotheses were tested using PLS-SEM. The study findings confirmed that there exists a positive and significant link between social networking sites and green entrepreneurship intentions through the indirect effect of risk propensity and self-efficacy. However, the findings regarding moderating effect indicated that subjective norms have no significant impact between the self-efficacy and green entrepreneurship intentions. The study findings have significant academic and practical implications for government representatives, policymakers, and entrepreneurial educational institutes that can use these findings.
This study investigated the impact of the use of social networking sites on university graduate students’ green sustainable entrepreneurial intentions by developing a mediating effect. This study provided a research framework using Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior and Shapero’s model to illustrate the relationship between self-efficacy and risk propensity towards green and sustainable entrepreneurial intentions. This research model posited a relationship between the use of social networking sites and green and sustainable entrepreneurship intentions with a mediating role of risk propensity and self-efficacy. The structural questionnaire was adopted, validated, and disseminated to the 300 respondents of university students. This study’s findings confirmed that there was a significant positive effect of the use of social networking sites on green and sustainable entrepreneurship intentions with the indirect impact of risk propensity and self-efficacy. These substantial outcomes have essential practices and academic implications for representatives, policy makers, and entrepreneurial institutes, such as how to direct the use of such relative niche technologies for communication and the role of the internet to promote green and sustainable entrepreneurial practices among young people.
Purpose This study aims to examine the effect of supply chain agility (SCA) on the export performance of the Pakistani textile industry. Despite being one of the leading manufacturing and exporting sectors, only a handful of the extant literature is found on the textile industry. Design/methodology/approach A structured questionnaire was prepared using the extant literature. Data was gathered from 146 respondents associated with the textile industry of Pakistan. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling after ensuring the reliability and validity of the data collected for this study. Findings This study provides several crucial insights for export-oriented firms. International entrepreneurial orientation and domestic competition are the crucial drivers for a firm’s agility. This study confirms that SCA has a significant impact on escalating export performance of the Pakistani textile industry in the international market. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the theoretical framework developed for this study is original and drawn from the extant literature. The findings of resulted from empirical testing of the theoretical model in the context of developing countries provide new information in the knowledge body.
In this empirical study, we have examined the impact of knowledge management on organizational innovation capacity. Ultimate objective of existing research was to explore the role of knowledge management in encouraging innovation capacity in SMEs. Furthermore, this study also described role of knowledge management process to enhance knowledge repositories of SMEs. In order to understand knowledge management-innovation relationship, we collected data from SMEs across Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It was found that knowledge identification/creation, knowledge collection, knowledge organizing, knowledge dissemination, and knowledge application have positive and significant impact on innovation capacity of the SMEs in AJ&K. Implications of the study were also discussed.
The Malaysian listed companies are still struggling to maintain their enterprise risk management (ERM) system efficiently due to improper implementation problems of risk management practices. Therefore, the prime objective of this study is to reveal the audit effectiveness in mitigation of risk management implementation (RMI) problem and to examine the effect on financial performance. To achieve this objective, three hundred (300) questionnaires were distributed among the managerial employees of Malaysia listed firms by using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed by using SmartPLS 3. It is found that external audit effectiveness (EAE) and internal audit effectiveness (IAE) has a significant positive relationship with an ERM system. However, top management stress has a significant negative relationship with RMI. Additionally, ERM system has positive effect on financial performance of companies.It is also found that level of RMI playing a mediating role. Thus, this study is contributed in the body of knowledge by highlighting the vital factors to mitigate the crucial problem of RMI, particularly in Malaysian firms. Hence, the current study is quite beneficial for practitioners to implement ERM system effectively. Purpose The purpose of this study is to determine how project governance influences project success. According to the authors, such an effect is mediated by organizational support and project team cohesion. The direct and indirect effects of organizational support and project team cohesion provided helpful information. The authors’ objective is to contribute to the project management knowledge of how project team cohesion plays a significant role in project success. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 350 employees working in Pakistan’s oil and gas industry. Four prime oil and gas exploration companies were selected as samples based on their contribution to the revenue. SPSS v23 and AMOS v23 were used for constructing structural equation modeling and path analysis to examine the direct and indirect effects. Findings The results revealed that project governance is positively related to project success. Furthermore, organizational support and project team cohesion mediated the relationship between project governance and project success. Originality/value Team cohesion has been primarily a topic of interest in sports psychology literature, education and medical sciences. There is an expressed need to investigate team cohesion issues in the broad domain of organizational development, specifically the project management literature. This study contributed by discussing team cohesion in the project context. Second, project governance was investigated using the conservation of resources theory. The lens of intellectual capital was applied to examine intangible resources of project governance like rules, regulations and directives for project success.
