This paper examines the factors affecting occupational
composition of Pakistani workers upon their return from Middle East
employment by using the 1986 ILO/ARTEP Survey of Return Migrant
Households. In view of the concentration of workers in lowstatus
occupations prior to migration, there was a great incentive for them to
change these occupations after return. The study shows that the economic
resources gained from overseas employment gave migrants the strength to
seek independent employment, and there was a clear move out of the
production-service occupations into business and agriculture
occupations. This movement was strongly related to migrants’ length of
stay in the Middle East. Since the occupational structure of the general
population remained almost unchanged in the 1970s and 1980s, the
employment trends exhibited by return migrants could largely be
attributed to overseas migration. However, the study shows that
businesses and farms established by migrant workers were
small-scale.
Perancangan generator menggunakan softawre merupakan hal yang sangat dibutuhkan sebelum melakukan pembuatan generator karena mampu mensimulasikan diameter, material, ketebalan, jumlah lilitan dan kecepatan putar generator sehingga nantinya ketika melakukan pembuatan generator bisa mencapai tingkat keberhasilan yang tinggi. Para peneliti sebelumnya ketika membuat generator langsung melakukan pembuatan tanpa ada simulasi terlebih dahulu sehingga hasil yang dicapi masih kurang dari target yang diingginkan. Software elektromgantik infolityca merupakan software yang mampu mensimulasi motor dan generator. Software infolityca merupakan software yang berbasis Fenite Element Methode (FEM) atau metode pembagan tak hingga. Adapun generator yang dirancang bertipe radial fluks dengan jumlah 12 slot 8 pole, diameter 13 centimeter, ketebalannya 5 centimeter serta menggunakan 12 lilitan diputar dengan 100 rpm dan frekuensi 66,6667 Hz. Didapatkan hasil dari rancangan generator tanpa beban tegangan outoput sebesar 21,65 volt, arus sebesar 0 ampere dan untuk rancangan generator berbeban didapatkan output tegangan sebesar 23,89, arusnya sebesar 5 Ampere.
Biogas is an alternate energy source; the main objective of this study is to analyze the prospects of biogas adoption in rural Pakistan by considering the constraints and opportunities. This study is restricted to district Faisalabad Punjab, Pakistan. Total data consisted of 100 respondents out of them 47 were biogas adopter and the remaining were non adopter of biogas. The list of adopters of biogas was taken from a regional institute and data were collected from the Faisalabad district by using the random sampling technique. The binary logit model is applied to get the appropriate results. It was found that there were positive association between the adoption and the number of livestock, age and land. This research study helps us to make policy options and to understand the factors behind the adoption of biogas technology.
