<strong>Abstrak</strong><strong>: </strong>Kota Medan memiliki masyarakat yang relatif heterogen sehingga sangat diperlukan kesadaran yang tinggi untuk menjaga kondusivitas wilayah ini. Pluralitas bisa dianggap sebagai potensi bukan ancaman terhadap disintegrasi bangsa. Ada dua opsi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat yaitu dengan melakukan <em>melting pot</em> dan <em>non-melting pot</em>. Keduanya memiliki keunggulan maupun kelemahannya masing-masing. Pola pertama biasanya diterapkan pada kelompok masyarakat yang memiliki latar belakang yang sangat berbeda sehingga dibutuhkan satu bentuk identitas baru yang mengikat semua elemen masyarakat yang ada di dalamnya. Sistem ini dilatar belakangi oleh semangat menumbuhkan nasionalisme baru karena warganya berasal dari berbagai bangsa. Pola kedua lebih bersikap akomodatif terhadap nilai-nilai primordialisme warganya. Sistem ini berusaha menciptakan masyarakat memberi kebebasan kepada warganya untuk tetap mempertahankan identitas asal warganya selama tidak mengganggu kepentingan nasional secara umum.<strong> </strong><br /><strong><br /></strong><br /><strong>Abstract</strong><strong>: </strong><strong>Islam, Social Patron, Pseudo Identity of Urban People in Medan City. </strong>Medan city has a relatively heterogeneous society so it is highly commended to maintain the condition of this region. Plurality can be regarded as a potential not a threat to the disintegration of the nation. There are two options offered in activities related to community empowerment namely; by doing the melting pot and non-melting pot both have their own advantages and disadvantages. The first pattern is usually applied to groups of people who have very different backgrounds so that it takes a new form of identity that binds all elements of society in it. This system is based on the spirit of growing new nasioanalisme because citizens come from various nations. The second pattern is more accommodative to the values of its citizens primordialism. This system seeks to create a society giving freedom to its citizens to retain the identity of their citizens as long as it does not interfere with the national interest in general.<br /><strong> </strong><br /><strong>Kata Kunci</strong><strong>: </strong>etnisitas, Islam, <em>melting pot</em>, patron sosial, <em>social identity</em>
COVID-19 shocks are over the whole world, which disrupted almost all sectors of the economy. Many major financial institutions show a downfall and going into economic recession. All around the world, ordinary people are affected the most in this dire situation due to raised unemployment. Mosques can be considered a vital social institution in Indonesia and tend to cultivate prosperity and elevate economic activities. This research exposed the hidden potential of Mosques in Indonesia in economic development by describing the essential asset stored in them. It’s instrumental for the community to empower the asset because the management of mosques will give multi-effective players in terms of community engagement.
Identity attached in a group always coincides with the perception within it. Identity of general Batak society is perceived as the masculine identity created the gap between female and male in term of the social and economy resources. Batak society who live outside of Bonapasogit likely more solid than they live in Bonapasogit. Itcan be proved by the intense meeting internal Batak community more often than in Bonapasogit. Due the penetration from other cultures force them who reside out Bonapasogit more united among them. Meanwhile, for people live in Bonapasogit the only threat coming from their own community because they didn’t face the penetration from outsiders. Especially, for female Batak community the threat is the dominating patrilineality who standstill the tradition which isn’t favored to female. In densely population in cities, marga can be used as the supported tools in relationship even many female Batak were born outside Bonapasogit still use marga for their advantage purpose, especially in bureaucracy. Meanwhile for Angkola Batak who live their hometown has the different situation due don’t get advantage the beneficiary of marga. Actually, the concept of sharia that always deals with the pattern of life of Muslims. Due, many approaches were taken to discuss legal issues that are quite complexity. Thus, the rapid social changes of not matched by the acceleration of fiqhproducts in response to the need of legal guidance of fiqh. As humans, of course each individual has the responsibility imposed on sharia, on the other hand a real effort is needed to stay within the range of corridor with the legal rules. The issue of legal certainty that has often been questioned arises as a result of the unequal awareness of justice and legal equality. The ability to extract normative values contained in the text of the text can give more legitimacy to the ijtihad. Muslims cannot be separated from the two sources of guidance in every dimension of their lives, including when faced with a problem. Muslims must always be united with the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet as a barometer of their lives despite the life dynamic. Therefore, when extracting a text of nashby looking at the social reality amid maslahat intake within it. The context of benefit must not avoided the basic pillars of Islam; arkan al Iman (the Pillar of Faith), arkan al-Islam (the pillar of Faith), Ihsan(social value).
