Hybrid e-learning brings traditional learning together digital learning to accommodate the current development technology era as Industrial Revolution 4.0. The study aims to explore the perceptions, strategies, and challenges of lecturers in using hybrid e-learning in their teaching. This case study employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative data were used on-line questionnaire, and the qualitative data are gained via interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS descriptive statistics, and the qualitative data were analyzed through interactive thematic data analysis. The findings reveal that there are several categories of the usefulness of hybrid, the institutional support, the impact of hybrid e-learning on subject mastery, and the percentage use of hybrid e-learning. Also, lecturers encounter mostly practical challenges in using hybrid e-learning. The study implies that lecturers may adopt the strategies of applying hybrid e-learning used by lecturers for a similar setting in different contexts. The study recommends that the more familiar the lecturers with the updated technology, the better the use of technology in their teaching. More importantly, the use of hybrid e-learning should be in the form of formal policy of the university so that it will be used ubiquity in many academic activities and settings. Higher education institutions should be able to change learning models that are by the needs of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era

This study aims to explore the multicultural education paradigm embedded in the fundamental constitutions, laws, and social rules in the Indonesian contexts. Achieving this aim, this research applied a meta-analysis approach by extracting multicultural themes from essential documents that are available publicly. The keywords for meta-analysis of the documents are culture, multiculturalism, and education. The findings of the study identified that the multicultural education paradigms, such as unity in diversity, equality, cultural identity, and social justice, are the essential vital themes appear in this research. Since there is a scarce study on exploring the essence of multicultural education within the origin of the Indonesian communities, this study contributes to the promotion and debates of multicultural education nationally and internationally. This study recommends a further in-depth investigation of how educators, students, policy-makers, and communities perceive and implement multicultural values within their communities to achieve peaceful and harmonious lives.
PurposeThis paper aims to examine factors influencing the productivity in research and publication between science and social science.Design/methodology/approachA qualitative approach with interviews for 40 academics in four public universities in Indonesia was applied to get an in-depth understanding of the issues.FindingsThe results of this study demonstrated that individual factors instead of institutional factors that contributed to the productivity of academics in science as compared to academics in social science.Originality/valueDespite there were influential effects of institutions in which the socializing process of internalizing the values, norms and scientific roles under the auspice of qualified supervisors or advisors, there seemed to be an individual capacity that comes in between. The implications of this study are discussed in the article.
<span>This study aimed to analyze the relationship between understanding Indonesian history, multiculturalism, and historical awareness with the nationalist attitudes of state high school students in Yogyakarta. This type of research was correlational research with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 126 students. Data collection used tests and questionnaires. The test was used to reveal data about understanding of Indonesian history and multiculturalism, while the questionnaire was used for revealing students’ historical awareness and nationalistic attitudes. The validity of the instrument used a biserial point correlation test and a reliability test with the KR-20 formula. The data then were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The pre-requisite analysis consisted of the normality test, linearity test and multicollinearity test. The hypothesis testing used Product Moment Correlation, multiple correlation, relative contribution, and effective contribution. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between understanding of Indonesian history, multiculturalism, and historical awareness with students' nationalism. History learning will be much more meaningful if these four concepts are used as the objectives of history learning.</span>
This paper aims to explore internationalization awareness and commitment of higher education in Indonesia. Since there are no publications on internationalization awareness and commitment for Indonesian higher education, this paper fills this gap. This qualitative case study involved 15 lecturers from an Indonesian university. This study used semi-structured interviews and data from the interviews were analyzed thematically. The research findings reveal that the internationalization of curriculum indicates awareness of internationalization by inviting experts and adapting curricula from developed countries. In addition, the commitment of internationalization was marked by the increasing quantity of international publications and collaboration with domestic and global agencies. The internationalization process faces both cultural and practical constraints. The finding suggests that there should be more elements of internationalization to indicate the preparation and the implementation of internationalization.
The study explores the perception of the EFL students in English Language Teaching through ICT based learning at Universitas Negeri Makassar. It employs a descriptive study using purposive sampling techniques by taking 57 respondents from university students. The online questionnaire used to collect data on the perception of students on the ICT based Learning of English Language Teaching. The method of descriptive in terms of percentage has been used for data processing, and the deduction method has been used to analyze and interpret data. The result of this study indicates the positive perception those university students hold on the use of the Learning Management System in English Language Teaching. Further study can refer to this Acceptance Model in determining a suitable ICT integrated learning program between the reality and user expectations of the program used.
