The teacher should have a steady, stable, adult, wise, and authoritative personality competence, be an example for learners, and have a noble character, but in reality, his personality competence is still low and still far from the personality that teachers should have. The authors offer an alternative solution with the Islamic psychology approach that is Tazkiyatun nafs that can be used as a basis of teacher personality strengthening. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach and literature or library research. The essence of tazkiyatun nafs tends to talk about the soul (an-nafs). It is a process of purification of the human soul from the impurities, both visible dirt and inner dirt. Therefore, the notion of tazkiyatun nafs is closely related to morals and psychology, and in Islam, it serves as a pattern of human formation of good character and cautious to Allah. In this study, the authors found some of the following findings. First, the growth of one's personality is influenced by factors from within that is the integration of elements of aql (mind), qalb (heart), lust and outside factors such as the process of interaction with the environment. Second, the soul is very functional to one's personality. A clean soul will produce good behavior while a dirty soul will result in a low or weak personality.
The Indonesian government was planning a super premium tour of Labuan Bajo to be realized in 2020, but the change in this type of tourism resulted in various changes in travel behaviour. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect role of visiting intentions to Labuan Bajo through the destination image and tourist expectation. This research involved 141 tourists who have been and who have a desire to visit Labuan Bajo. Researchers used three scales of analysis, namely the scale of destination image, traveller expectations and visiting intentions. The analysis of this study uses multiple linear regression. The results showed a direct or indirect role of the destination image toward visiting intentions. There are two direct roles obtained, the first direct role from the destination image to the visiting intention and the other direct role from tourist's expectation towards visiting intentions. In contrast, the indirect role of the destination image generated through the expectation of a traveller toward visiting intention. Other results show that there is a simultaneous role between destination image and tourist expectations of the intention to visit Labuan Bajo.
The initial background of the Republic of Indonesia is plural (diverse). Therefore, Indonesian people must live in mutual respect with people who are different from him in various ways (religion, race, and class). This statement is what is referred to as tolerance, the opposite of which is intolerance. However, this life of tolerance cannot be adequately guarded. Historical facts show that many Ethnicity, Religion, Race and Intergroup conflicts occur in Indonesia. Therefore, it takes a commitment and political will from various parties, especially local elites, in maintaining tolerance in this nation. This research studied the role of local elites in transforming the values of pluralism in Indonesia, especially when there was a leadership recycling event at the local level with democratic procedures (direct election). This research is a qualitative study and used the method of literature review, focus group discussion, and also interviews with related parties. This research is a qualitative study and used the method of literature review, focus group discussion, and also interviews with related parties. The results of this study found that regions that were classified as tolerant tended to avoid religious issues in political contestation such as Singkawang in West Kalimantan. Meanwhile, areas that belonged to the category of intolerance tended to use the religious problems in the contestation of public positions, governors, regents/mayors. One example was the Special Capital Region of Jakarta Province (DKI Jakarta). Therefore, the local elite had a significant role in transforming the values of pluralism or vice versa. Thus, local elites needed to understand the meaning of tolerance thoroughly and avoided the use of religious issues in public office contestation in order to maintain harmony and tolerance among religious believers in Indonesia as a plural state.
This article aims to analyze the relationship between the teacher and the congregation of the Naqsabandiyah in local political action and their relationship with local political elites. This study uses a qualitative approach that aims to interpret a case that will be carefully examined and analyzed using periodic descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of relations between teachers and congregation of the Naqsabandiyah groups in local political action in Rokan Hulu Regency tends to be more accommodating to the authorities, where the political orientation of this group has undergone a transition from traditional to rational action with its own political choices. Then, the relationship between the group and local political elites in socio-religious practices has confirmed the existence of a very strong religious and political relationship, where the Naqsabandiyah sees Achmad (local political elite) as a group representation traced from the existence of kinship ties.
