Centered on the 2013 Curriculum (Indonesia's national curriculum), English subject matter is equated to the high school standard. Both high school and vocational school students receive the same English content, while English is to be differentiated for special purposes for high school and vocational high school students. It is difficult to find an English textbook in a vocational school which fits into the department of the student. Additionally, there is often not enough time for teachers to develop English materials for vocational students. This study aims to explore the content that should be included in SMKN 1 Pangsid Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang to design English language materials based on needs analysis in the Tourism Program and to find out the response of teachers to the development of English material in the Tourism Programme. Fundamental analysis uses Qualitative Descriptive, and the findings are described in terms. The study results indicate that the content to be included in the English language material in the SMKN 1 Pangsid Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang tourism program is speaking and pronunciation for language skills and components; media videos and images; and asking questions about teaching techniques. Creation of English language materials consists of several speaking practice presentations, many videos to practice listening, speaking and reading, reading sections and documents, and some information that the Tourism Program learners need to know.
The objectives of research this research was to find out whether or not the CALL affects the students’ achievement and to find out the students’ attitude in learning English by using CALL. This research applied quasi-experimental method was used in this research by using non-equivalent control class design. The researcher chose and placed the experimental and control design randomly. The researcher took the first-year students of SMK Negeri 1 Pancarijang Kabupaten Sidrap in academic year 2019-2020 as a research subject. Based on the data found in this research, the researcher concludes that; 1) The use of CALL affected the achievement of the first year students of SMK Negeri 1 Pancarijang Kabupaten Sidrap in academic 2012/2013. It was proved by the mean score of pretest and posttest which was obtained from experimental class was 52.44 and 74.59. While the mean scores of pretest and posttest for the control class were 48.03 and 56.48. After analyzing using SPSS 22.0, the researcher found that (0.00<0.05) where the p-value (0.00) at the level of significance (0.05) and the degree of freedom 66. It indicated that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and, of course, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. 2) The first-year students of SMK Negeri 1 Pancarijang Kabupaten Sidrap have a positive attitude in learning English through CALL. It was approved by the data that none of the student states negative statement to the use of CALL, 21 students (61.8%) was very favorable who get a score in interval 85-100 and 13 students (38.2%) were favorable in interval 69-84. From the data, the highest score of the students of the students is 100 which is categorized as very favorable, and the lowest score is 70 which is categorized favorable.
The present study is an effort to analyze the mode and intensity of Chinese interests in Pakistan. By examining the policy of pursuit in finding another market in the region, the study aims to understand the current warmth of the relationship between China and Pakistan. Although maintaining a perpetually friendly relationship with China has always been a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, yet strengthening this relationship into a structured partnership remained a gradual process in the light of their mutual interests. In the politics of international relations, the relationship between countries is a complex interaction of pragmatic national interests, which are multifaceted and could take an alternate course with changing regional and international scenarios. As both Pakistan and China share many common political, economic and strategic interests due to which both are giving their utmost priority to protect their interests related to the other. This paper will investigate the situation where it is commonly believed that China is inevitable by avoiding the vice-versa. No doubt common threats and challenges faced by both the nation is the major cause to unite them in terms of security, political, economic and strategic fronts.
Theory about Newton's Law is considered difficult for students. Many students cannot solve Newton's Law’s problems caused they cannot understand the concept. Concept understanding requires complex learning by increasing students’ motivation. This study aimed to explore the relationship between students’ motivation through scientific argumentation skills and students’ learning outcomes on Newton's laws. This research was a non-experimental mixed-method study with an embedded-correlational research design. The subjects of this study were 32 students of Senior High School (SMA) Laboratory UM Malang (State University of Malang). The sampling technique used in the study was purposive sampling, specifically homogeneity sampling. The research instrument consisted of open-ended questions, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and document identification. The data analysis technique used was a partial correlation test for quantitative data and descriptive analysis through coding for qualitative data. The results showed that the quality of students' scientific arguments was most dominant at Level 2. The arguments consisted of claims supported by data. However, the students sometimes claimed incorrect understanding of Newton's Laws I and II. The results of the partial correlation test between motivation and scientific argumentation and student cognitive learning outcomes did not show any correlation. However, there was a positive effect.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) Penerapan kegiatan tahsin tahfidzul quran dengan metode tsaqifa dalam pembelajaran Alquran di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. (2) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan metode tsaqifa, serta (3) Hasil dalam kegiatan tahsin dan tahfidzul quran menggunakan metode tsaqifa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, siswa, dan proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Alquran di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil dari metode pengajaran yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran Alquran. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Implementasi metode tahsin dan tahfidzul qurna dengan metode tsaqifa dalam pembelajaran membaca Alquran disesuaikan dengan tingkat bacaan siswa dan tetap menggunakan strategi dan metode pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran yang dimaksud adalah secara individual, baca simak, tutor sebaya dengan menggunakan metode tsaqifa, adalah metode ini dirancang khusus untuk orang yang belum pernah belajar Alquran atau yang pernah belajar tetapi masih terbata-bata bacaannya. Faktor penghambat yaitu masih banyaknya kemampuan bacaan Alquran masih terbata-bata, kurangnya ketertarikan untuk belajar Alquran, dan kurangnya sarana prasarana. Faktor pendukung yaitu faktor internal adalah faktor yang muncul dari pribadi siswa sendiri, dan faktor eksternal yaitu faktor keluarga, institusional, dan lingkungan sekolah. Untuk mengatasi setiap permasalahan atau faktor penghambat tersebut masih dikaji untuk ditemukan solusi yang tepat. Pengkajian dilakukan melalui monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Pimpinan atau Kepala Sekolah.
