Folklore found in Indonesia has a moral value that is beneficial for its readers or listeners. The folklores occasionally have similarities with folklores from other regions both in terms of the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the works. For example, folklores Bawang Merah Bawang Putih from Indonesia and the story of Putri Arabella from Malaysia share similarities in terms of intrinsic elements and moral values. This study attempts to investigate the comparison of these folklores using a comparative literary theory. Three main intrinsic elements that are compared include characters and characterizations, settings, and plot. Meanwhile, the comparison of the moral values between the two folklores is focused on individual moral, social moral, and religious moral. The study shows that the intrinsic elements of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih stories have several connections with Putri Arabella from Malaysia, other than the moral values of the two stories. However, there is also a difference found between the two stories especially in the ending part of the story.

This paper tries to see how women writers see topics of love, loyalty, and the other woman through literary works spread across the periods in Indonesian literature. The data in this study were taken from short stories written by various female authors published in 1940-2000 which were assembled in a collection of Dunia Perempuan short stories. Data were discussed by using the theory of Gynocritics and analyzed with the content analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that female authors tend to assume that love and loyalty are the most important thing in their lives, particularly in their marriage lives. Moreover, they do not associate the other woman who is present in the midst of their household negatively.
Digital democracy has produced a wave of political activism led by a number of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL). However, this activity began to face a serious challenges following the issuance of the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE) which is considered a silencing weapon for freedom of expression in cyberspace. Therefore, this study aims to reconsider several cases of hate speech that convicted three KOL people who were selected through the Forensic Linguistics approach. The data is sourced from utterances published on their respective social media accounts. Semiotic analysis and pragmatic discourse methods are integrated into the data interpretation and description process. The results of the analysis concluded that the posts from three convicted KOL (ADP, JG, BY) have fulfilled the element of hate speech acts through illocutionary speech acts that contain elements of humiliation, defamation, and incitement of violence and provocation that have the potential to create conflicts between religions, ethnicities and groups.
Even though they are in the modern era, women in various parts of the world are still constrained by various shackles and it is difficult to show their existence. Literary works then become a platform for women to liberate themselves and emphasize their existence even though only symbolically. This study aims to describe the strategies, causes, and impacts of the existence of women in the novel Catatan Juang by Fiersa Besari based on the feminist existentialist study of Simone de Beauvoir. This research is a qualitative research with a library-based study. The analysis was carried out using the content analysis method. The results of this study can be conveyed as follows; (1) there are four strategies for the existence of women in the form of strategies, intellectual women, working women, social transformation women, and independent women, (2) the causes of the emergence of women's existence strategies, among others; social concerns, economic status, and thinking towards change.
