Suatu grading dilakukan terhadap Indonesian Crude Oil Basket dan minyak bumi Indonesia lainnya dengan menggunakan suatu program Crude Oil Grading ADBHWMMKYA.Program ini merupakan sebuah home-made program yang menggunakan Excell dan VisualBasic, yang mengurutkan kualitas minyak bumi berdasarkan API, kandungan sulfur, dan yielddistilat serta klasifikasi minyak bumi.Urutan grading terhadap 8 Indonesian Crude Oil Basket, memperlihatkan urutan yangagak sama dengan urutan grading ICP pada Tahun 2000, 2006 dan 2007, dan cukup mendekatiurutan grading ICP pada Tahun 2008 dan 2009 (kecuali untuk minyak bumi SLC). Urutan grading yang dihasilkan program ini terhadap urutan grading kedelapan Indonesian Crude Oil Basket, konsisten baik diurutkan secara tersendiri atau bersama dengan minyak bumi Indonesia lainnya.Dengan demikian, program ini potensial untuk digunakan sebagai second reference dalampenetapan ICP.Aplikasi program ini terhadap blending dua atau lebih minyak bumi dapat memperlihatkankemungkinan adanya efek positif pencampuran terhadap kualitas minyak bumi yang dihasilkan.
