Cilallang Fisherman's Village is a densely populated settlement because it is included in the Majene city area so that residents are constrained by the limited availability of land for farming. This Fisherman's Village is also a stunting locus that requires special attention in fulfilling nutritional intake for the children of local fishermen. Another condition that also occurs in this village was the high rate of waste disposal, both in the form of organic waste and inorganic waste. Therefore, this mentoring program aimed to provide education on how to grow healthy vegetables using the hydroponic technique, which did not require a large area of land and the planting media could use plastic waste from residents so that it was eco-friendly. The activity was carried out in several stages, namely: the preparation stage, the training stage, and the monitoring and evaluation stage. The results of the analysis of activity questionnaire data consisting of 31 respondents were 73.95% strongly agree (SS) and 23.56% agree (S) obtained the benefits of eco-friendly hydroponic vegetable cultivation education.
This study aims to determine the total phenol and flavonoid content of fresh cherry leaf extract and dried cherry leaf extract using the stratified maceration extraction method. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The samples in this study were fresh cherry leaves and dried cherry leaves obtained from Somba, Sendana District, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi. The research data were analyzed using the formula for calculating the total compound content. The results of determining the total phenol content of fresh cherry leaf extract and dried cherry leaf extract obtained a wavelength of 600 nm with levels for fresh cherry leaf extract of 303.2 mg GAE/g sample and for dry cherry leaf extract of 320.5 mg GAE/g sample while the content of The total flavonoids of fresh cherry leaf extract and dried cherry leaf extract obtained a wavelength of 415 with levels for fresh cherry leaf extract of 940.6 mg QE/g sample and for dry cherry leaf extract of 987.7 mg QE/g sample. The total content of phenol and flavonoid using the multilevel maceration method in dried cherry leaves was greater than that of fresh cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura)
The Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MPK) cascade plays an important role in the intracellular signaling transduction pathway leading to resistance against phytopathogens produced by Fusarium graminearum. In the cascade, there are three prominent kinase protein groups involved, an MPK kinase kinase (MPKKK), MPK kinase (MPKK), and an MPK. Recognitions of pathogen-derived molecules in plants trigger rapid activation of some MPKs including MPK6 which are found in a wide variety of plant species, including in Arabidopsis thaliana. The structure of MPK6 contains kinase domain and common docking (CD) domain. CD domain is phosphorylated by interact with MPKK. Moreover, the MPKK which binds to MPK6 and its phosphorylation mechanism are still unknown, so as initial study is needed to investigate biochemical characterization by prepare MPK6 protein. In this research, mpk 6 was amplified by using a pair primer and subsequently was ligated into pET160/GW/D-TOPO vector which contained with sequence encoded 6xHistidine tag protein for protein purification assay.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
