Research aimed to study the influence of organic and inorganic fertilizers on growth and yield of green bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). It was conducted in Andisol soil, Batu, East Java, 900 m above sea level, 24-27 ⁰ C for dry season (from May to July 2013) and rainy season (from January to March 2014). A randomized block design was used to arrange five treatments such as 1) no fertilizers applied; 2) five t ha -1 cow manure; 3) 10 t ha -1 cow manure; 4) 50 kg N ha -1 , 150 kg P 2 O 5 ha -1 and 50 kg K 2 O ha -1 ; and 5) 100 kg N ha -1 , 300 kg P 2 O 5 ha -1 and 100 kg K 2 O ha -1 . All treatments of bean was planted in 4 x 3 m 2 of plot size and 25 x 20 cm 2 of plant spacing. Treatment of 100 kg N ha -1 , 300 kg P 2 O 5 ha -1 and 100 kg K 2 O ha -1 resulted in the highest growth (plant height, leaf number/plant, and leaf area/plant) and yield of pod fresh weight (12.46 t ha -1 , in 2013; 16.51 t ha -1 , in 2014). The lowest growth and yield was showed by no fertilizer application (6.23 t ha -1 , in 2013; 8.36 t ha -1 , in 2014).
The study aiming to know the growth and yield of paddy Ciherang planted in dry and wet season and applicated with organic and inorganic fertilizers was conducted in paddy soil in Batu, East Java, 900 m asl. , 20 t ha -1 cow manure, and 10 t ha -1 cow manure. Each treatment replicated three times. The result showed tha the growth and yield of paddy Ciherang in dry seasons was higher than that in wet seasons. Plant height in dry seasons was 86.9 cm tall, Leaf Area Index (LAI) was 4.18, time of harvesting was 125 days after planting (DAP), and the grains yield was 9.84 t ha -1 . The same characterstics of paddy Ciherang in wet seasons were 87.7 cm tall, with LAI 3.70, time of harvesting 105 DAP, and the grains yield 4.81 t ha -1
ABSTRAKBudidaya tanaman krisan potong pada umumnya dilakukan menggunakan pupuk anorganik. Penggunaan pupuk anorganik secara terus menerus menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji (1) konsentrasi PGPR terhadap pengurangan penggunaan pupuk anorganik dalam budidaya tanaman krisan potong terhadap standar hasil krisan potong dan (2) kombinasi konsentrasi PGPR dan pemberian dosis pupuk anorganik terhadap standar hasil krisan potong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni -September 2016 di dalam rumah lindung di Desa Sumbergondo, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu dengan ketinggian 1.100 m dpl. Metode yang digunakan ialah Rancangan Petak Terbagi yang terdiri dari petak utama ialah perlakuan pemberian PGPR (P) dan anak petak ialah pemberian pupuk anorganik. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi PGPR dan pengurangan dosis pupuk anorganik tidak menunjukkan terjadinya interaksi. Pemberian PGPR dengan konsentrasi 10 ml l -1 per aplikasi berpengaruh nyata meningkatkan biomassa akar dan biomassa total tanaman. Pengurangan dosis pupuk anorganik 25% mampu menghasilkan krisan potong dengan kriteria grade A, antara lain memiliki panjang tangkai ≥ 70 cm; diameter tangkai antara 4,1 hingga 5 mm dan diameter bunga antara 71 hingga 80 mm yang lebih banyak daripada perlakuan lain. Kandungan nutrisi pada daun dan tanah mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi PGPR dan semakin sedikitnya pengurangan dosis pupuk anorganik.
The experiment was done in order to know the influence of Biourine on growth and yield of shallot fertilized with organic and inorganic fertilizers in Batu, East Java, 900 m asl, 24-27 0 C, Andosol soil, from May to July 2014. A Factorial Randomized Block Design was used in arranging treatments i.e. applied of Biourine (with and without Biourine) and applied of organic-inorganic fertilizer. The results showed that the application of Biourine and inorganic fertilizer increased growth and yield of shallot var. Philippines. Shallot var. Philliphines applicated with Biourine 1000 L ha-1 and 100 kg N ha-1 (ZA); 50 kg P 2 O 5 ha-1 (SP36) and 70 kg K 2 O ha-1 (KCl) showed the highest bulb yield (1,932.2 kg m-2) and the lowest showed the treatment of 5 t ha-1 organic fertilizer without Biourine with yield of 1,285.7 kg m-2 or increased 50.3%.
