Students need an understanding of mathematical concepts provided by educators who have good skills. Educators must also maximize their teaching time so that it requires learning models such as e-learning and blended learning to meet the loss of teaching time due to other activities that must be done by the teacher besides teaching. This study aims to see the impact of blended learning and e-learning on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the material of two-variable linear equations. The method used in this study is the quasi-experiment with the posttest only control design research. Technical analysis uses one way ANOVA. Based on the results of the study, Blended Learning and E-Learning influence understanding mathematical concepts in the two-variable linear equation material, so that it can be used as a knowledge given to students in understanding mathematical concepts.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability and characters of students who were taught using problem-based learning and ordinary learning based on Islamic perspectives. The instrument used in this study was a test of problem-solving ability and a students’ character questionnaire. This research was a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample of this research was 84 students from Private Islamic School in Medan, North Sumatera, by using a purposive sampling technique. The data in this research was declared homogenous and normal after being tested using the Levene’s Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. The hypothesis analyzes used was the Two Way-ANOVA test assisted by SPSS 25. The result showed that there was an improvement in mathematical problem-solving ability and students' characters through problem-based learning based on Islamic perspectives. However, there was no interaction between students' gender and problem-solving ability and character improvement based on Islamic perspectives. The gender factor in problem-based learning was not related to students’ cognitive and affective aspects. Each student with any gender had difference characters, especially related to Islamic perspectives. This research-proven that problem-based learning model had an important role in teaching and learning, and it can be used to improve students' mathematical and character problem-solving ability.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, student character-building interactions were centered on parents due to distance learning. The independence of students is created from a single pattern of parenting because interactions with teachers only take place virtually. Therefore, parents play a major role in shaping the characteristics of students. This research wants to reveal the ideal role of these people, especially in shaping the character of students in the family and social environment. The actions of parents in providing education for children in the environment of the family is very important. It is because the family becomes the first education for children. The duties of parents are to be the first educators or teachers to their children for the sake of creating and developing a child's character. This study used a qualitative research style and the samples taken were several residents of Badal Pandean Village, Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency. After doing research, it shows that parents have a big role in shaping children's characters even amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Penelitian ini didasarkan pada tantangan dakwah sekolah yang seringkali menghadapi fakta bahwa rendahnya minat para siswa sebagai generasi millenial untuk terlibat di dalam kegiatan Rohis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan urgensi dakwah sekolah dengan mengkolaborasikannya dengan karakter yang dimiliki oleh generasi millenial umumnya. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dan penelitian kepustakaan. Pendekatannya adalah secara eksploratif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, diperoleh hasil kajian bahwa dakwah sekolah dalam konteks generasi millenial melalui kegiatan Rohis memiliki urgensi antara lain sebagai sarana pembinaan akhlak, sebagai wadah untuk meng-counter arus informasi yang negatif, salah satu sarana untuk penguatan keimanan dan nasionalisme, penangkal aliran radikalisme, salah satu penunjang prestasi akademik, dan sebagai komunitas kreatif-religius yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan pembekalan berbagai keterampilan penggunaan teknologi informasi yang bermanfaat dan menarik.
Education Indonesia is launching Character Education, which is education that aims to build the character of students to become civilized intellectuals. But it becomes an anomaly, because in reality the students sometimes underestimate their teacher. This means that here Indonesia Education has not found the right formula for this concept. Different from the concept of Islamic Education, where Islamic Education is more comprehensive in shaping the character of students, namely through strengthening the spirit of their faith and adab. In other words, in the historical literature of the Islamic Education curriculum there are two, namely the Curriculum of Faith and the Koran. After Faith and Al-Quran strong students then they recognize applied sciences, such as science, Social Sciences and so forth.
