Over the years, Malaysian manufacturers struggled to mitigate the widened gap among the three aspects of TBL performance, e.g., economic, social, and environmental. Although, the economic performance is relatively elevated compared to environmental performance based on environmental performance index (EPI) data reports. Similarly, less than twenty per cent (20%) of manufacturers are ISO14001-certified out of the total registered firms in the 52nd FMM directory. The firms must employ green HRM practices to foster pro-environmental behaviour and support their managers to adopt the environmental management system (EMS) framework to reap the benefits of TBL performance. To resolve these issues, sustainability has become an essential strategy for manufacturers in addressing environmental problems due to consistent ecological awareness among stakeholders that compels firms to adopt EMS and green HRM practices to foster organizational citizenship behaviour for the environment (OCBE) and improve triple bottom line (TBL) performance. This research aimed to investigate the impact of the EMS on TBL performance through green HRM practices and OCBE via a serial mediation approach among ISO14001-certified manufacturing firms. A quantitative methodology was employed based on a positivist paradigm. The sample of 350 respondent firms was randomly targeted via standard questionnaires. Around 248 manufacturers responded with a response rate of 70%, which is sufficient for data analysis. After outliers and normality assessment, the clean data of 216 manufacturers were finally analysed using SmartPLS 4.0. Structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis revealed that EMS is positively related to OCBE, and OCBE is positively associated with TBL. EMS is positively related to green HRM practices, and green HRM practices are positively associated with OCBE. Furthermore, it was confirmed that green HRM practices and OCBE serially mediated the relationship between EMS and TBL performance among ISO14001-certified manufacturing firms. The current study also presents vital organizational and managerial implications.

This study investigates the factors contributing to the mobile commerce usage among rural entrepreneurs in Peninsular Malaysia. By using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the relationship between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions on the utilization of mobile commerce were examined. Face to face survey method was used for data collection. 360 samples were subsequently analysed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS- SEM) method. The study found that social influence was the most influential factor in mobile commerce utilization. The performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions were positive and significantly influenced the use of mobile commerce among rural entrepreneurs in Peninsular Malaysia. The findings were added significantly in bridging the knowledge gap concerning the elements influencing the mobile commerce usage among rural entrepreneurs. This empirical study provides significant input to all stakeholders, including government, relevant stakeholders (e.g. entrepreneurs, supply chain industry, telecommunications industry, and ICT industry), and local communities.

Currently, there is growing attention towards improving sustainability, including the worldwide agenda in moving towards Society 5.0. Since the formulation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the green logistics issue has been widely recognized as one crucial element to reducing environmental and social impact. Nevertheless, only a few studies in this area were established since the ignorance regarding this issue was immense globally, including in the Malaysian context. This paper intends to examine the relationship of organizational performance consciousness, economic performance consciousness, and environmental performance consciousness towards green logistics consciousness in enlightening environmental and social sustainability in the Malaysian situation. The data of 387 respondents throughout Malaysia were collected using a convenience survey sampling technique. This data was initially analyzed via descriptive, validity, reliability, and normality test using IBM SPSS Statistics. All hypotheses were analysed using the hierarchical regression analysis, which confirmed that organizational performance consciousness, economic performance consciousness, and environmental performance consciousness directly influence green logistics consciousness in Malaysia. This study is significant and crucial for business strategies formulation, predicting and assessing the potential environmental and social impacts of a proposed project, including evaluating alternatives, designing appropriate mitigation, management and monitoring measures via several entities such as government and policymakers.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the Malaysian government's actions towards the aviation industry to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and the transition phase from pandemic to endemic. Transition phase refers to a temporary period before the country could fully enter the endemic phase which is subject to an announcement by the World Health Organisation (WHO).   Theoretical framework:The study on air transport affected by pandemic and industry action toward the endemic phase. This study refers to the conceptual framework for emergency department design in a pandemic by Aujirapongpan (2023): Relationship between state, hospital and ED in pandemic preparedness planning and response.   Design/methodology/approach: The approach used is qualitative research that are observation and literature review.    Findings: The results demonstrate the Malaysian government's actions during the transition period from pandemic to endemic. Restrictions on travel between areas cause the public to be unable to move at will, causing passengers to be unable to buy plane tickets. The government's actions have indeed had an impact on the airline company's income. Among the significant effects are the workers who were laid off in the era of the pandemic. At the same time, the government is also trying to help airlines financially to survive while waiting for the endemic period. The Malaysian government does not have a specific framework for the airline industry to face the pandemic, however, the Malaysian government gives a quick reaction to control the situation.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The study gives comparative responses on the aviation industry by the government when faced with a pandemic, as well as planning for the transition to the endemic phase.   Originality/value: The result indicates the government participation and action changes of the air transport operation on the Covid-19 pandemic to endemic transition phase.

As the pandemic of Covid 19 has directly affected the business industry, the business model has changed, including the logistics industry, especially the courier company. Courier company has benefited the most during this pandemic situation as the e-commerce business flourished. Enhanced service by courier company is crucial as stiff competition in the industry. Therefore, this study explores the impact of customer service, insurance, and luggage delivery on logistics customer satisfaction. A quantitative method was employed to analyse the effects of enhanced services of customer services, insurance, and luggage delivery towards logistics customer satisfaction, where 384 responses were collected from respondents identified as active users of courier services for the last 12 months.
