ApresentaçãoÉ com muita alegria que trazemos para a seção Documenta o memorial de moacir Palmeira que compôs, em 1994, uma das peças de seu concurso de Professor titular de antropologia do museu nacional. concebida como uma forma de trazer a público textos relevantes que não tenham sido publicados ou o tenham sido em circuitos muito restritos, a Documenta oferece-se como o espaço ideal para um texto que, tendo sido escrito no contexto de um concurso, é muito mais do que uma peça burocrática necessária à mudança de status institucional, desvendando-nos inúmeras questões sobre o fazer antropológico brasileiro nas últimas décadas.no "memorial do candidato", somos levados ao encontro de uma forma de produção de conhecimento, práticas de pesquisa e estabelecimento de redes de interlocução e formação. o incômodo relatado por moacir Palmeira, logo de início, diante do fato de que, ao se fazer um memorial, a primeira pessoa do singular se impõe, é o primeiro indício da valorização de um estilo de trabalho coletivo que se reafirma a cada memória comentada que compõe o texto. com isso, a primeira pessoa do singular vai se pluralizando em "nós", coletividades cuja sucessiva configuração se dá em movimentos em direção a focos relativamente comuns de pesquisa, interesse intelectual e artesanato conceitual. Focos para cuja delimitação a dita primeira pessoa teve uma contribuição, justamente, singular, ainda que o texto evite tornar essa contribuição o nó da apresentação, preferindo lembrar os nós que, na prática coletiva de pesquisa, amarraram amplas e diversas referências teórico-etnográficas, buscadas sistematicamente na literatura sobre campesinato, plantation, ou política, a um forte investimento na produção de dados a partir do campo, e à formação de pesquisadores.Seguir, ao longo do memorial, o fio, ou a (mais robusta e internamente compósita) corda, dessas amarrações, é recordar um bocado do modo pelo *
