Tulisan ini akan menguraikan tentang action research (penelitian tindakan) sebagai salah satu alternatif metode penelitian dalam studi dan aksi pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian tindakan didasarkan kepada asumsi bahwa penelitian harus dihubungkan dengan agenda perubahan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian tindakan dilakukan tidak hanya untuk memperoleh kebenaran semata namun juga menciptakan kondisi yang diharapkan. Penelitian tindakan dapat digunakan secara efektif dalam kajian maupun aksi pemberdayaan masyarakat mengingat karakteristiknya yang mementingkan partisipasi warga masyarakat secara aktif. Melalui penelitian tindakan akan dapat dihasilkan formula yang sesuai dengan kondisi masyarakat dalam melakukan upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokmentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar sudah baik, dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter ke dalam perangkat pembelajaran seperti silabus, RPP, dan saat kegiatan pembelajaran, selain itu implementasi pendidikan karakter tidak hanya dilakukan di dalam kelas tapi juga dilakukan di luar kelas, seperti kegiatan upacara bendera yang dilaksanakan setiap hari Senin, kegiatan ekstrakulikuler Kepramukaan, Palang Merah Remaja, dan kerja bakti. Dengan mengangkat nilai mandiri, peduli lingkungan, cinta tanah air dan bersahabat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter sudah berjalan dengan baik dan diterapkan oleh anak di lingkungan rumah, sekolah dan masyarakat.

A post on Budi Santosa Purwokartiko's (BSP) Facebook timeline on April 27, 2022, caused a stir. Here's a BSP sentence that sparked a communication conflict: So, none of the 12 female college students I interviewed closed their heads in the style of desert humans. As an LPDP interviewer for students applying for scholarships, BSP is considered to have committed blasphemy against SARA. The BSP's post was also highlighted for his status as an official rector at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology. Through the qualitative research method of description, the author uses Halliday and Hasan's approach of social semiotic analysis to show signs/symbols of innuendo opinions from the BSP that have triggered communication conflicts between the BSP and the public.
The results of this study generally concluded (1) study participants do not yet have advanced literacy skills that are meaningful to the needs of life, because the materials learning materials and learning activities do not fit the needs of local tutors, (2) development of literacy learning model based on local potential of agriculture can significantly empower Indigenous Communities. Local potential is developed into a learning module literacy, literacy tutor training, learning implementation, and evaluation of results provided by the potential skills of local content, (3) implementation of the development of functional literacy learning model based on local potential of agriculture is packaged in three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation (4) the effectiveness of the development model of literacy learning in study groups to apply model-based functional literacy development of local potential is better when compared with the study group who did not apply the intervention model development study. The effectiveness of model development, learning development and empowerment of remote indigenous communities in literacy programs, with one another have a significant positive relationship. The effectiveness of model development and learning development partially or simultaneously both significant positive effect on the empowerment of remote indigenous communities in the functional literacy program.
