RFID system with 2nd-generation ID card based on ZigBee wireless network is presented. The application model for RFID system in wireless network, with 2nd-generation ID card as a carrier, is supplied with ZigBee wireless network technology.The hardware circuit and software design process are given in detail.Lastly, the application methods and occasions of RFID system based on ZigBee wireless network are given.The United of States brought forward the idea of constructing "a smarter planet", which was deemed to be the essential strategy adopted by the United of States, aiming to revitalize its economy and ensure its competitive edge in a global scale. In the same year, Premier Wen inspected the Micro-Nano Sensor Network Engineering R&D Center at Wuxi, ICCAS and said, "We should take efforts to achieve the breakthrough of the core technologies in wireless sensor network and the internet of things, moreover, the relative technological R&D in Post-IP-Era needs to be arranged in advance." Premier Wen also brought forward the idea of the "Perception of China" during the visit. A research institution forecasted that the internet of things will be extensively pervasive within a decade, and the technology will be developed into a hi-tech market with trillions of RMB in scale, 30 times larger than the Internet.As one of the core technologies adopted in the internet of things, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) attracts the most attention from the market [I] [2] . The application to finance, security, and medical industry will promote the growth of the RFID market. According to Yiguan International, by 2009, the RFID Market in China will reach a scale of 5 billion RMB, with its compound annual growth average as high as 33%.Considering the current situation of RFID's application in China and the market requirement, this article presents the design of a globally sole sequence number with 2nd generation ID card, which will replace the traditional read only tags, and thus reduce the manufacturing costs. II.SYSTEM DESIGN OU TLINEThe RFID system presented in this article consists of a reader and a computer management system (CMS). The reader plays the crucial role, and thus is the focal point of our research. The reader has determinant effects on the stability and security of the system, receiving information of the 2nd generation ID gards as radio-frequency, and then sending it to the CMS; the CMS, on the other hand, upon reception of the information from the reader, conducts the corresponding processing and controlling. The reader mentioned above is shown in Figure 1.
