Industry 4.0 has changed the paradigm in the business practice and business model, and digital technology has brought radical transformations to enterprises. To support this transformation, digital leaders are required to help enterprises transform and lead them to a more promising future. Based on job demands-resources model and person-organization fit theory, this study examines the relationship between digital leadership and employee creativity. Based on a sample of 357 employees from various Chinese companies, this study used SPSS 22.0 and MPLUS 7.0 to examine the hypotheses. The findings indicate the following (a) digital leadership has a positive effect on employee creativity. (b) employee job crafting mediate the relationship between digital leadership and employee creativity. (c) person-organization fit positively moderates the relationship between digital leadership and employee job crafting. (d) person-organization fit positively moderates the indirect effect of digital leadership on employee creativity via employee job crafting. The findings reveal the effect mechanism of digital leaders on employee creativity and enrich the literature on antecedents of employee creativity. Practical implications and future research are also discussed.
IntroductionMost previous studies focused on the antecedents of employee innovative behavior but rarely examined the outcomes of employee innovative behavior. Moreover, previous studies ignored the relationship between employee innovative behavior and workplace wellbeing. Based on social comparison theory and social exchange theory, this study introduces coworker ostracism and leader support for innovation as mediating variables to explore the “double–edged sword” effect of employee innovative behavior on workplace wellbeing.MethodsBased on a sample of 319 employees from Chinese companies, this study used SPSS 26.0 and MPLUS 8.3 to examine the hypotheses.ResultsEmpirical results demonstrate that (a) employee innovative behavior is directly and positively related to workplace wellbeing, (b) employee innovative behavior is indirectly and positively related to workplace wellbeing through leader support for innovation, and (c) the negative association between employee innovative behavior and workplace wellbeing via coworker ostracism is unsupported.DiscussionThe findings of this study enrich the literature by exploring the double-edged sword effect of employee innovative behavior on workplace wellbeing. The practical implications of this study are that leaders in organizations should give employees innovation support.
This article combs the present situation and future development trend of digital economy research in China by means of literature measurement. On the one hand, China’s digital economy presents a framework system of industrial digitization, digital industrialization, digital governance, and data value. On the other hand, digital economics has gradually become a dominant science and is constantly challenging the traditional economic research framework. Data are no longer the traditional data, and the data-driven economic and social innovation development model is the future trend. Data privacy, data protection, data ethics, data assets, and so on will become the focus of academic research.
CdZnTe (CZT) films were grown by closed space sublimation (CSS) method on (111)-oriented CZT wafers, non-oriented CZT wafers and FTO substrates. The compositional and morphological properties of CZT films on different substrates were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), which indicated that CZT films grown on (111)-oriented CZT wafers had low dislocation density and high Zn composition. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements confirmed that CZT films grown on (111)-oriented CZT wafers had the best crystal quality. The I-V and DC photoconductivity measurements indicated that CZT films on (111)-oriented CZT wafer had good carrier transport performance. The energy spectra of CZT films grown on (111)-oriented CZT wafer presented that it had a good response to the nuclear radiation under 241Am.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
