Results confirm prior findings that comorbid ADHD is associated with more TS symptoms and worse psychosocial and cognitive functioning, and motivate whether cognitive flexibility plays a role in moderating the deleterious psychosocial effects of Tourette's syndrome and ADHD.

John Livesley, MD, Ph.D., is hoogleraar en hoofd van de Faculteit psychiatrie van de Universiteit van British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Daarnaast is hij editor van het Journal of personality disorders. Beiden hebben publicaties over onderzoek naar persoonlijkheidsstoornissen op hun naam staan.
